Abstract:
A retaining wall system includes a retaining wall and a retaining assembly secured to the retaining wall and anchored in the ground medium. The retaining assembly includes a reinforcing member and corrosion resistant covering material in which the reinforcing member is embedded. The retaining assembly is configured to provide resistance against pull through the ground medium in which the retaining wall system is installed.
Abstract:
An elastomeric article can include an elastomeric body that is at least partially formed from an elastomeric material. The elastomeric body can include a first surface portion and a second surface portion facing opposite the first surface portion. A first plurality of reinforcing elements can be embedded within the elastomeric body between the first and second surface portions. The first plurality of reinforcing elements can have a first end and a second end opposite the first end with the first plurality of reinforcing elements having a non-linear pattern formed therealong between the first and second ends thereof. As examples, the elastomeric article can at least partially form one of pneumatic or non-pneumatic tire, a flexible spring member of a gas spring assembly and/or a turnup bladder dimensioned for securement on an associated tire building machine. Methods of manufacturing an elastomeric articles are also included.
Abstract:
An end closure (260) is dimensioned for securement to a gas spring end member (204). The end closure is dimensioned to form a substantially fluid-tight, friction-fit connection with a flexible spring member (206) that is in an at least substantially-cured condition. The end closure (260) can include an end wall portion (298), a first side wall portion (300) that extends from along the end wall portion (298) and a second side wall portion (304) that is disposed radially inward of the first side wall portion and is axially-offset relative to the end wall portion. The second side wall portion at least partially forms a mounting seat that is dimensioned to form a substantially fluid-tight, friction-fit connection between at least the second side wall portion of the end closure (260) and the flexible spring member (204). A gas spring assembly as well as a suspension system and methods of assembly are also included.
Abstract:
Retread rim assemblies (122, 600, 700, 800) include a plurality of rim segments (124, 602, 702, 802) disposed in a generally circular arrangement about a central axis (AX). A retread band (126, 300, 400, 604, 704, 804) extends around the plurality of rim segments such that the retread band is circumferentially tensioned to bias the plurality of rim segments radially inward. The retread band is at least partially formed from an elastomeric material. The retread band can include at least one reinforcing ply (318, 426, 428, 636, 638, 744, 746, 844, 846) embedded in the elastomeric material. Additionally, or in the alterative, the retread band can include an annular rib portion (412, 412', 630, 734, 834) projecting radially inward and/or outward from along a base portion (410, 410', 628, 732, 8320. Retread bands (126, 300, 400, 604, 704, 804) and methods of manufacturing retread rim assemblies are also included.
Abstract:
An end member assembly (204; 404) that is dimensioned for use in forming a gas spring assembly (200; 400) can include an end member body (248; 448) that is dimensioned for securement to a flexible spring member (206; 406) of the gas spring assembly (200; 400). The end member assembly (204; 404) can also include a compliant support structure (250; 450) that is operatively connected to the end member body (248; 448) to support the end member body in spaced relation to an associated structural component (SC2). The end member body (248; 448) can include a side wall (256; 456) that extends in overlapping (OL1; OL2) relation with at least a portion of the compliant support structure (250; 450). The end member (204; 404) can also form at least one chamber (296; 508) within the end member body (248; 448) and compliant support structure (250; 450). A gas spring assembly (200; 400) and a suspension system (1 18) are also included.
