Abstract: Disclosed are formulations for producing chemical solvent comprised of propylene glycol methyl/ether acetate which admixtures can be employed to clean a surface and which can be applied to cloths for the cleaning operation yet alleviate problems with solvent evaporation into the atmosphere. The figure shows and sets out a method for utilizing and disposing of cloths impregnated with such chemical formulations (11) whereupon the used cloths are enclosed first in polyethylene bags (23) then in a series of metal drums and containers (25, 27, 29, 31 and 33) and finally disposed of in an incinerator or kiln.

Abstract: Disclosed are formulations for producing chemical solvent admixtures that can be employed to clean a surface for further work or can be applied to cloths for the cleaning operation. The disclosed formulations and methods of disposing the formulations alleviate problems due to solvent evaporation into the atmosphere which cause many legal and environmental problems. The figure exemplifies a preferred method of disposing of cloths which have been contacted with the disclosed formulations and applied to a surface in a cleaning operation.
