A method for making objects (50) by forming a thermoformable sheet material (40), comprises forming said objects (50) by interaction of die means (2) and forming means (3), and comprises, before said forming, compressing and crushing a first portion (41) of said sheet material (40) by crushing punch means (5) and maintaining said first portion (41) crushed during said forming to reduce a thickness thereof and to orientate chains of molecules that compose a structure of said sheet material (40) at said first portion (41) so as to weaken said structure and make said first portion (41) weakened, in particular easily perforable, tearable and breakable.

A cartridge (1) for extracting a beverage from an edible substance (4) contained therein by means of a liquid under pressure, the cartridge comprising: a main body comprising a cup portion (2) and a lid portion (3), the cup portion comprising a base (7), a sidewall (8) and a rim (9) opposed to said base, the lid portion (3) being fixedly attached to said rim (9) of the cup portion (2) so as to define an internal volume of said cartridge, the internal volume of said cartridge housing the edible substance (4); said lid portion (3) comprising a lid port (13) defining a first passage for said liquid under pressure and the base (7) of said cup portion comprising a cup port (6) defining a second passage for the extracted beverage. The cup port (6) protrudes from said base outwardly with respect to said internal volume and comprises valve means (24) which are fixedly mounted on the internal surface of the cup port and which are resiliency openable under pressure of said extracted beverage during a beverage extraction phase, the diameter of the open end of said cup port that is opposite to said cup base being sized so as to allow insertion of said valve means within the cup port.
