Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lug drive system (1 ) for a wheel (3) such as that found on a motorcycle. The lug drive system (1) includes a 2-piece lug drive hub assembly (5) mounted on one side of the wheel to apply a driving force thereto. The lug drive hub assembly (5) includes a lug drive sprocket (10) and a hub (28) that are detachably connected together by an inner retaining ring (50), The lug drive sprocket (10) includes an outer drive ring ( 12) and an inner carrier disk (16) that are detachably connected together by an outer retaining ring (54). The lug drive system (1) also includes a 2-piece lug drive rotor assembly (7) mounted on the opposite side of the wheel to apply a braking force thereto. The lug dri ve rotor assembly (7) includes a lug brake rotor (70) and a hub (106) that are detachably connected together by an inner retaining ring (126). The lug brake rotor (70) includes an outer friction ring (72) and an inner carrier disk (74) that are detachably connected together by an outer retaining ring (104).
