A data transmission and reception method includes transmitting a plurality of position data bits and a amplitude bits with each of the pulses. The method also includes decoding the position bits and the amplitude bits. An ultra-wideband (UWB) system is also described.

A method and system of calculating debt service capacity of a loan applicant includes capturing, indexing, reclassifying and grouping transaction data and profile data of the loan applicant. Next, capturing a loan structure, risk factors, financial variables and reconciliation rules and finally using the aforementioned and loan applicants' data and cash flow projections to calculate loan applicants' debt service capacity with time value of money calculations.

Some of the main features of the present invention include: Superframe and Frame structure; Superframe Preamble (and CBP Preamble); Frame Preamble; Superframe Control Header (SCH); and Frame Control Header (FCH).

A method (200) for signaling a transmission mode in a wireless communication networks comprises selecting a signature sequence corresponding to the transmission mode of a transmitting device (S210); forming, for each antenna in the transmitting device, a synchronization field based on the selected signature sequence, wherein the synchronization field is included in a preamble (S220); and transmitting, from each antenna in the transmitting device, the data frame that comprises the preamble.
