Abstract: The present invention relates to a method (10) for monitoring the wakefulness of an imaged subject dining an MRI examination. The method comprises acquiring (11) at least one magnetic resonance image of the subject using an MRI system (100), and determining (13) a wakefulness measure based on at least a part (I) of the acquired image or images and/or on EEG data obtained from the imaged subject during the acquisition. The method also comprises generating (14) at least one signal if the determined wakefulness measure indicates that the subject has fallen asleep, has woken up and/or is predicted to transition from an wake to a sleep state and/or vice versa. The signal is generated during the acquisition (11) and/or before removing the subject from the MRI system. Further aspects of the invention relate to computer program products, computer systems and MRI systems.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method (10) for monitoring the performance of a predetermined test task executed by a subject during an fMRI examination. The method comprises acquiring (11) a timeseries of fMRI images and providing (12) a sensory stimulus to the subject during the acquisition in accordance with the predetermined test task. The method comprises determining (13), after the sensory stimulus, an activity measure indicative of brain activity in at least one predetermined region of interest, and generating (14) at least one signal when the activity measure is indicative of a poor performance of and/or compliance to the predetermined test task. The signal is generated during the acquisition of the time series and/or before removing the subject from the magnetic resonance imaging system. Further aspects of the invention relate to computer program products, computer systems and MRI systems.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method (100) of producing a sleep evaluation for a user for use with a sleep therapy is disclosed. The method comprises, with a processor arrangement (12), receiving (122) a perceived value of a sleep parameter from the user, said sleep parameter corresponding to sleep behavior of said user at a point in time during said sleep therapy; receiving (124) sleep monitoring data from an electronic sleep monitor, said sleep monitoring data incorporating an objective value of said sleep parameter at said point in time; and, in case of the perceived value being different to the objective value, processing the sleep monitoring data such as to augment (132) said objective value into a further value of said sleep parameter to reduce the discrepancy between the perceived value and the objective value; and producing (134) a sleep evaluation output for the user comprising at least the further value of said sleep parameter. Also disclosed is a computer program product for implementing such a method (100) on a processor arrangement (12) and a sleep monitoring system (1) adapted to implement such a method (100).

Abstract: A system is provided for assisting the development of an adult-child attachment relationship. One or more child physiological or behavioral signals are sensed for the adult and the child. An adult-child activity is chosen by the system and an association between the adult and child signals is analyzed so as to estimate a level of synchrony between the adult and child associated with the selected adult-child activity. An output is generated which depends on the level of synchrony.

Abstract: In order to enable more accurate calibration of brain, there is provided a system for creating a hemodynamic brain atlas for calibration of brain hemodynamics. The system comprises a non-invasive transcranial neurostimulation device, a non-invasive neuromonitoring device, and a computing device. The non-invasive transcranial neurostimulation device is configured to induce neuronal activity to evoke a hemodynamic response in a target region of interest (ROI) of a brain of a human subject. The non-invasive neuromonitoring device is configured to monitor the evoked hemodynamic response in the target ROI. The computing device configured to determine a set of parameters representing a hemodynamic response function, HRF, of the evoked hemodynamic response in the target ROI, and to associate the set of parameters of the HRF with the target ROI to form the hemodynamic brain atlas.

Abstract: Two subsequent fMRI images taken during or around an EMDR therapy treatment are compared. A change in a trauma level metric in relevant brain anatomy of a traumatized patient is determined and communicated, such that the success of the EMDR therapy can be more objectively assessed and/or the information may be used to tailor the EMDR therapy a during or after a therapy session.
