Abstract:
Disclosed is a food processing apparatus (1) having a food processing chamber (10) comprising a blade arrangement (20) and a motor (50, 70) arranged to drive the blade arrangement, wherein the blade arrangement comprises a body (22) having a surface arrangement (25) delimiting a cavity (3) and a plurality of cutting blades (24) extending from said surface arrangement into said cavity.
Abstract:
A food processor combines steaming of food on a support, and blending. The support is rotated about the same shaft as the blender blade, to release the food on the support centrifugally so that it drops to the blender blade. This enables an automated process with optimized steaming and blending.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a method of controlling food heating when cooking food. The method includes: heating the food to a temperature value in a range between a first temperature and a second temperature, the first temperature being lower than a boiling point of the food but higher than room temperature, the second temperature being higher than the first temperature but lower than the boiling point of the food; maintaining the temperature of the food, within a predetermined period, between the first temperature and the second temperature; and after the predetermined period, continuing heating the food, causing the temperature of the food higher than the second temperature. In this way, rapid dehydration of the food can be avoided, which significantly improves the softness of the food. In addition, as the food is continued to heat after keeping the food at relatively low temperature, the cooking efficiency will not be reduced significantly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a roasting method of roasting partially roasted coffee beans; the roasting method comprises the steps of: obtaining a roast level of the partially roasted coffee beans; determining a roasting profile for roasting based on at least the roast level of the partially roasted coffee beans prior to roasting; and roasting the partially roasted coffee beans according to the determined roasting profile. The present invention also proposes a method of making coffee, a roasting device and a coffee machine providing a segmented roasting solution.
Abstract:
An apparatus (2) for sterilizing and drying at least one article comprises a container (10) configured to receive and accommodate said at least one article; at least one heater (21) configured to heat the air that is present inside the container (10) to a temperature that is in a range of 80°C to 100°C; at least one air flow generator (30) that is at least partially arranged inside the container (10), the at least one air flow generator (30) being configured to cause the air that is present inside the container (10) to circulate within the container (10); and a fluid introducing means (60) configured to increase a molecular amount inside the container (10) by introducing a fluid in the container (10).
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for preparing food materials (3) within a cooking apparatus (1), wherein the cooking apparatus (1) includes a stirrer (4) with a stirring element (14) and an actuator (15) configured for driving the stirring element (14), and wherein the method comprises: stirring the food materials (3) in a cooking space (2) of the cooking apparatus (1) by the stirring element (14) with heat applied by a heat source (5); and adjusting the introduction of the heat into the cooking space (2) by the heat source (5) and/or the rotation speed of the stirrer; measuring the difference in pressure and/or temperature between opposed sides of the stirring element (14) that face respective rotational directions of the stirring element; and controlling the amount of heat being applied into the cooking space (2) and/or the rotation speed of the stirrer (4) based on a resistance indicating signal dependent on the measured temperature and/or pressure difference. Furthermore, the invention provides a cooking apparatus that is prepared to execute the inventive method.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling an electric pressure cooker (800) when cooking food. The method includes: heating (102) a food in an electric pressure cooker causing pressure within the electric pressure cooker to achieve a first pressure value; maintaining (104) the food between the first pressure value and a second pressure value within a first period; reducing (106) pressure of the electric pressure cooker to a third pressure value, the third pressure value being higher than atmospheric pressure but lower than the first pressure value, the second pressure value being higher than the third pressure value but lower than the first pressure value; and causing the pressure in the electric pressure cooker to oscillate (108) between the third pressure value and the fourth pressure value during a second period such that the food is stirred in the electric pressure cooker, wherein the fourth pressure value is higher than atmospheric pressure but lower than the third pressure value. Embodiments of the present disclosure further relates to an electric pressure cooker (800) for cooking food. The method and the electric pressure cooker in accordance with the present disclosure are capable of keeping stirring the food so that the taste and nutrition are improved.
Abstract:
The application describes an apparatus to record environmental events and manage fetal movement. The apparatus comprises a detector configured to detect fetal movement; a recorder configured to record the environmental events that occurred concurrently with or before the fetal movement; a memory configured to store the recorded environmental events; a player configured to generate the environmental stimulation by presenting at least one of the environmental events recorded. The apparatus enables the parents-to-be to instantaneously communicate with the fetus and keep a precious memento of the moment shared between family members, including the fetus.
Abstract:
A apparatus (100) for roasting coffee beans is disclosed comprising a compartment (110) for holding coffee beans (10); a roasting element (140) for roasting the coffee beans in said compartment; and a processor (130) comprising a control unit (134) for controlling the roasting element. Wherein, the processor (130) is adapted to determine a weight loss rate of the coffee beans, and the control unit (134) is adapted to control the roasting element as a function of the determined weight loss rate. A coffee machine including such an apparatus and a method for roasting coffee beans are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A cooking appliance for is cooking whole grains. A first input (IN1) receives an indication of whether grains to be cooked have been pre-soaked or not and a second input (IN2) receives an indication of the type of grains to be cooked. A selected cooking profile is selected from a memory (26) based on these inputs. This provides an automated cooking profile selection, to make the cooking process easier for the user.
