    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a method of controlling food heating when cooking food. The method includes: heating the food to a temperature value in a range between a first temperature and a second temperature, the first temperature being lower than a boiling point of the food but higher than room temperature, the second temperature being higher than the first temperature but lower than the boiling point of the food; maintaining the temperature of the food, within a predetermined period, between the first temperature and the second temperature; and after the predetermined period, continuing heating the food, causing the temperature of the food higher than the second temperature. In this way, rapid dehydration of the food can be avoided, which significantly improves the softness of the food. In addition, as the food is continued to heat after keeping the food at relatively low temperature, the cooking efficiency will not be reduced significantly.
