Abstract: A method for monitoring activities of a construction or mining vehicle. Signals from at least one acceleration sensor, accelerometer (2), and/or at least one angular rate sensor, gyro (4), are processed on a computing platform(3)which is programmed to determine the activity state of the vehicle based on signals received. A device arranged to perform the method may also comprise means (7) for storing or communicating the result of the determination of the computing platform (3).
