Abstract: There ore provided an air conditioning system and a method of controlling the air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes a controller having a selection key for selecting an operation mode or an air volume rate. An air cleaning unit includes a signal receiving portion receiving an instruction inputted using the selection key, a control portion receiving the instruction from the signal receiving portion, and a driving portion actuating a fan motor or other components according to the instruction inputted to the control portion. A ventilation unit includes a control portion receiving a signal from the control portion of the air cleaning unit, and a driving portion actuating a fan motor or other components according to an instruction from the control portion of the ventilation unit.

Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus (10) is provided. The air conditioning apparatus (10) includes a cover (11) assembly having an indoor air suction hole, a filter (13) assembly cleaning indoor air sucked through the indoor air suction hole, and a grill (14). The grill (14) includes a discharge grill formed on a side for discharging the indoor air cleaned by the filter (13) assembly to an indoor area, and an exhaust grill for discharging indoor air to an outdoor area. A fan (15) assembly draws indoor or outdoor air toward the grill (14). A rear panel (16) is coupled to the grill (14). The rear panel (16) includes a suction hole formed in one side for introducing outdoor air and an exhaust hole formed beside the suction hole for discharging indoor air to the outdoor area.
