Abstract:
Disclosed is a pump management system configured to manage operation of a plurality of positive displacement pumps. The pump management system manages operation of the plurality of positive displacement pumps to substantially maintain non-coincidental operation of the pumps. Operation of the positive displacement pumps in the non-coincidental mode reduces pressure fluctuation stresses on downstream components.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed herein that include providing an active torsion damper control system that includes a rotatable component and a rotatable measurement interface disposed on the rotatable component, the rotatable measurement interface having at least one torsional strain gauge configured to measure a strain of the rotatable component, a torque management computer configured to determine a resonant frequency of the rotatable component and a corrective torque needed to be applied to the rotatable component to excite the resonant frequency as a function of the measured strain, and a correction motor configured to impart the corrective torque on the rotatable component.
Abstract:
Torque measurement devices, systems, and methods are provided. Exemplary torque measurement devices, systems, and methods include providing rotating electronics and non-rotating electronics configured for remote power transmission and remote interrogation via near field and switched reactance communications. The rotating electronics and the non-rotating electronics can communicate analog information without batteries or a physical connection therebetween.
Abstract:
A torque monitoring system includes a rotatable measurement interface and a stationary data receiver. The measurement interface is configured to be attached to a rotatable shaft. The measurement interface includes a strain gauge, a processor, and a near field communication (NFC) transceiver coil. The stationary data receiver is stationary with respect to the rotating shaft. The stationary data receiver includes a processor and an NFC transceiver coil. The rotatable measurement interface receives operating power via its NFC transceiver coil that is derived from a radio signal wirelessly transmitted by the NFC transceiver coil in the stationary data receiver. The processor in the rotatable measurement interface is configured to receive strain gauge signals from the strain gauge indicative of torque on the rotatable shaft and wirelessly transmit digital data indicative of the strain gauge signals through the NFC transceiver coils to the processor in the stationary data receiver.
