Abstract: An apparatus for producing and dispensing soft serve frozen treats comprises a vertical cylinder having a closed bottom, a freezing coil wrapped around the vertical cylinder, a dispenser assembly coupled to a dispensing aperture in the closed bottom of the vertical cylinder, and a hollow auger shaft within the vertical cylinder and coupled to a drive shaft extending out of the vertical cylinder. The auger shaft has a plurality of stirring elements mounted thereon, such that when the drive shaft is driven to rotate the auger shaft rotates the stirring elements within a mixing area in a lower portion of the vertical cylinder.
