Abstract: A notice assembly comprising a support portion including a base part adapted to be supported on a horizontal surface, a vertical wall part having a lower edge attached to the base part and a hollow tubular part fixed along an upper edge of the wall part with an axially extending through opening in the tubular part facing the same direction as the front surface of the wall part. A display member has a portion rotatably mounted in the tubular part. That portion of the display member has a peripheral surface bearing a plurality of set of graphic symbols providing information about the location of the person (e.g., AT LUNCH, OUT OF OFFICE, RETURN SOON, IN MEETING). By manual rotation of the display member, any of the sets of graphic symbols can be positioned in the opening of the tubular part where they will be observed by a person looking at the notice assembly. Graphic symbols are provided on the front surface of the wall part that provide incomplete information about one or more of a) the location of the person, b) the time of return for the person, c) the normal work hours for the person, and c) an alternate person to contact when the person is absent; together with ink receptive means that afford application of indicia with quick drying ink from a quick drying ink applying implement or pen to complete the information, and afford subsequent removal of the ink.

Abstract: An article support adapted for adhering to a substrate is described. The article support preferably includes a base member (30), a stretch release adhesive tape adhered to that base member, and some mechanism (22) for gripping the stretch release adhesive tape. These items are arranged so that when the base member is adhered to the substrate by the stretch release adhesive tape, the base member can be removed by pulling on the gripping means at an acute angle from the surface of the substrate. Gripping means which resist disassociation from the stretch release adhesive tape during the removal of the base from the substrate are disclosed, including handle types. The base member can be generic, suitable for attaching various types of support members (40) via, for example, complimentary dovetail slides (42, 44). In such cases, provision such as a latch can be made to temporarily lock the support member to the base member. The article support can be provided so that when the support member is removed from the base member, the gripping mechanism engages the support member to automatically stretch the tape and remove the base member from the substrate.

Abstract: A pad assembly comprising a multiplicity of flexible sheets each having a band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive coated on its rear surface adjacent and spaced by a small predetermined spacing from a first edge. The sheets are disposed in a stack with the band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive on each sheet adhering it to the adjacent sheet in the stack; and a layer of padding compound is disposed over and adhered to aligned first edges of the sheets in the stack. The padding compound allows, after the band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive on the rear surface of one of the sheets in the stack is separated from the front surface of the adjacent sheet in the stack, that one sheet (and any sheets above it) to be pivoted away from that adjacent sheet while remaining adhered to the adjacent sheets. The small predetermined spacing between the band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive and the first edge of each sheet provides a tactile feel when the band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive on the rear surface of one of the sheets in the stack separates from the front surface of the adjacent sheet in the stack that signals the person peeling the sheet away that such separation has occurred, and allows that person to reduce the force he is applying to the sheet, thereby restricting inadvertent separation of that sheet from the padding compound. After a sheet is intentionally separated from the padding compound, the band of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive on the sheet affords adhesion of that sheet to a vertical surface.

Abstract: An adjustable tray assembly (10) adaptable for use in desk drawers having side walls spaced at various distances. The tray assembly includes a first portion (12) having a plurality of open top receptacles and a support lip projecting away from one side, and a second portion (22) also with a projecting support lip and mounted on the first portion to affording relative movement between the portions to change the spacing between the first and second support lips so that they can be supported on the upper edge surfaces of the side walls of the drawers of different widths with the first and second portions briding therebetween. The tray assembly can also include dispensers for office supplies including note paper, tape flags and tape; the tape dispenser being of a novel low profile design.
