Abstract:
The invention is a centralizer device for centre positioning of a bore hole component (90, 91) in a bore hole and a method for deploying such a centralizer. The centralizer device (100) is prepared to have two possible different states, one locked state for improved deployment and one released state for centring. The transition from the locked state to the released state is prepared to be done by introducinga pill of bore fluid having a pH-value outside range of pH-values of bore fluid in a well. The pill of bore fluid dissolving pH-soluble material in the centralizer device.
Abstract:
A drill string safety valve device (1) has a body (2) with a through-going flow bore (25) and connectors (3, 4) at respective ends (19, 18) for connection to tubulars, such as pipe joints. A valve member (7; 29) is movably arranged in said flow bore (25) and configured for being set in one of two states: a first state of the valve member allows fluid to flow in both directions though the flow bore, and a second state of the valve member allows fluid flow through the flow bore in only one direction. The valve member may be a rotatable ball valve (7) with a through-going flow bore (21).
Abstract:
A method is described for supply of liquid from a liquid storage to a casing string (10,12, 14..) which from a deck (16) on an installation is conveyed down in a well with the help of a pipe handler comprising an elevator, where the liquid is supplied via an uppermost casing (10) which is added to the casing string, and the liquid is supplied through a filling pipe (30) via an outlet nozzle (36) to the top of the casing (10) already during the pipe's (10) screwing into the casing string (10, 12, 14..) where the filling pipe is extended during the liquid supply until the casing string is being lowered down to a position where it is securely locked to the deck (16), and liquid is added to a suitable level in the casing string. The method is characterised in that the filling pipe (30) is extended in that it comprises a telescopic axially moveable pipe end part (35) with a constricted outlet (36) which leads to the pipe end part (35) being pushed axially outwards and extends the filling pipe (30) when the liquid is supplied under pressure, and the pipe end part (35) is pushed outwards under the counter effect of a prestressing force, and pulled back under the influence of said prestressing force when the liquid supply stops. Also described is a device as given in claim 10.
Abstract:
It is discussed a method for drilling a well through a formation from a drilling installation, for the recovery of fluids, where a drill pipe (30) made up of a number of drill pipe sections is lead down into the formation and is supplied with liquid fluid from a fluid delivery system before one or more new drill pipe sections connected to the installations drill floor successively is screwed onto the upper end of the drill pipe (30), where a filling pipe (1 10) formed with a downwardly extending pipe spigot (17) that is lead down into the opening of the drill pipe section during assembly to start the fluid filling. The method is characterized by that it is used a threadless filling pipe (1 10) with two main parts defined by an complex upper sleeve (50) and a lower sleeve (52), and that includes mutual intermediate seal surfaces (47,49), and the filling pipe's (1 10) seal towards the outlet of the fluid delivery system (20), respectively towards the top part (31 ) of the drill pipe (30) is produced by the weight of the overlying fluid delivery system (20) towards the filling pipe's (10) circular upper and lower seal surfaces (12, 14; 16, 18). It is also discussed a new construction of a filling pipe (1 10), and the application of the method and the filling pipe.
