Abstract:
Method, device and computer readable medium are disclosed for supporting satellite access. The registration management entity of the network determines information regarding which beam covering the location of the terminal device and the corresponding timing; the terminal device triggers a registration update based on the information determined by the registration management entity. Thus, the method, device and computer readable medium can introduce less modification to the network and have good compatibility.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for controlling emergency calling. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes receiving, at a user equipment, an indication for controlling whether the user equipment makes an emergency call over a fifth generation radio access technology or over another radio access technology as a fallback; and making, by the user equipment, the emergency call based on the received indication. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments generally relate to methods and apparatuses for resolving domain name in case of local access to data network. A method for resolving a domain name may comprises upon detection of Data Network Access Identifier (DNAI) change for a user equipment (UE), inserting an intermediate User Plane Function (I-UPF) in a data path of a packet data unit (PDU) session of the UE, and configuring the I-UPF to forward a Domain Name System (DNS) query request from the UE to a DNS resolver along a path to a local packet data unit session anchor (PSA).
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention include a database, referred to as Shared Data Layer SDL, of a mobile network, said database configured to: - support data sharing between mobile network entities, said data including data related to user location change reporting, said mobile network entities including at least one entity, such as RAN entity or CN entity such as CCF, referred to as serving entity, and at least one entity needing User location Information, referred to as application entity, such as Policy controller referred to as PCRF or API exposure Function referred to as SCEF.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform: receiving a message at a core network for a first user equipment via at least a radio interface between the first user equipment and a second user equipment,; and sending to the core network for the second user equipment at least some of the content of the message.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to dynamical changes in access and mobility policies. According to embodiments, an Application Function entity can request the Access and Mobility related entity to modify the access and mobility policies for a terminal device after the discovery of the Access and Mobility related entity. Alternatively, the Access and Mobility related entity obtains access and mobility policies from a User Data Repository that link traffic of an application on a PDU Session towards to access and mobility policies and configure the AM policy based on a detection of traffic change done under control of a Session Management related entity. Therefore, the access setting and/or the mobility setting can be dynamically changed based on the traffic change in the application.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method, device and computer readable medium for coordination between wireline and wireless policy controllers. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the service controller is able to coordinate between information about a wireless subscription for mapping from a traffic multiplexer used in a wireline access to a wireless data session selector and information sent to a wireline Residential Gateway device about mapping application traffic to a traffic multiplexer used in a wireline access.
Abstract:
A UE activates a PS Data Off service to block downlink and uplink services except the exempted services determined by the HPLMN. To activate PS Data Off, the UE sends an indication to the MME or SGSN, or additionally to a S-CSCF or an IMS network. The UE may receive a confirmation of the PS Data Off activation and/or a list of exempt services. The MME may contact the HSS to notify about the activation of the PS Data Off and receive indication of support of the service or list of exempted services and send the indication and/or packet filtering per PDN to PDN GW(s). The PDN GW may contact a PCRF to get policy rules. The HSS may provide a list of exempt services to the S-CSCF.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of user plane forwarding between UPF and AF. The method comprises receiving, a request associated with an IEEE signaling exchange between a second apparatus and a third apparatus; generating, based on the request, configuration information for establishing an exchange path for an IEEE signaling between the second apparatus and the third apparatus and transmitting the configuration information to the third apparatus. In this way, forwarding of the IEEE messages between the UPF and the AF is realized and new capabilities for corresponding function entity can be introduced.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising determining, at a functional entity of a core network, whether policy requests associated with at least one address used within a session are allowed for the session and, if so, configuring a first associated functional entity of the core network to provide at least one address used within the session for a user equipment associated with the session, receiving the at least one address from the first associated functional entity and providing the at least one address to a second associated functional entity of the core network for storage.
