Abstract: An electrical power distribution system (100) comprises a wiring module (900), an outlet module (200) and a locking plug (800). The wiring module (900) is adapted to install within an electrical box and is configured to electrically connect to a power distribution cable. The outlet module (200) has a covered receptacle (500) with outlet contacts accessible from the covered receptacle (500). The outlet module (200) is configured to removably install into the wiring module (900) so as to electrically communicate the outlet contacts with the power distribution cable. The locking plug (800) has prong contacts and is adapted to insert into the covered receptacle (500). The prong contacts are configured to extend inside the covered receptacle (500) so as to electrically connect to the outlet contacts and lock the plug to the outlet module (200).

Abstract: A safety module electrical distribution system (100) comprises a wiring module (1600) adapted to mount within an electrical box, the wiring module (1600) having a functional side and a wiring side. A terminal set is disposed at least partially within the wiring module and is adapted to terminate a power cable proximate the wiring side. A plurality of structured sockets are disposed on the functional side, the structural sockets incorporate a portion of the terminal set. A functional module (300) having a front side and a back side is adapted to removably install in the wiring module (1600) proximate the functional side. A contact set is disposed at least partially within the functional module (300) and is adapted to conduct electrical power to an electrical distribution function accessible from the front side. A plurality of shielded plugs are disposed on the back side. The shielded plugs incorporate a portion of the contact set. The structured sockets associated with the wiring module (1600) are configured to interlock with the shielded plugs associated with the functional module (300) so as to provide electrical communication between the terminal set and said contact set.
