A steering column control module comprises a housing having at least two receptacles. A printed circuit board is mounted in the housing, the printed circuit board carrying first and second electrical connectors. A third electrical connector is mounted in the housing remote from the printed circuit board. A ribbon cable is connected between the second and third electrical connectors. The receptacles are adapted to receive respective switch modules. The first and third electrical connectors are positioned and configures so that, when plugged into respective receptacles, the switch modules connect to respective ones of the first and third electrical connectors.

The present invention concerns a control member (1) for a welding or cutting device (500) with a hand grip 503, and comprises means (5) for mechanical connection to the device (500) and first electrical connection means (6) suited to be coupled with corresponding second electrical connection means (505) belonging to the device (500). Said mechanical connection means (5) are suited to allow the control member (1) to be applied to the device (500) in a corresponding seat (521), with no need to remove the hand grip (503) or one of its parts (503a, 503b). The invention also concerns a related device and system.

Bei einem Bedienungsmodul für ein Kraftfahrzeug mit einem elektrischen Schalter (10) in einem Gehäuse (20) weist das Gehäuse (20) wenigstens ein federnd auslenkbares Verriegelungselement (30, 31) auf, in dessen Verriegelungsstellung das Gehäuse (20) in einer dafür vorgesehenen Aufnahme positionsgerecht fixiert ist. Jedem Verriegelungselement (30, 31) ist ein nutzerseitig zugänglicher Taster (40, 41) zugeordnet, welcher mit dem Verriegelungselement (30, 31) derart zusammenwirkt, dass bei dessen Betätigung das Verriegelungselement (30, 31) entgegen seiner federnden Auslenkung eine Freigabestellung einnimmt.

A safety module electrical distribution system (100) comprises a wiring module (1600) adapted to mount within an electrical box, the wiring module (1600) having a functional side and a wiring side. A terminal set is disposed at least partially within the wiring module and is adapted to terminate a power cable proximate the wiring side. A plurality of structured sockets are disposed on the functional side, the structural sockets incorporate a portion of the terminal set. A functional module (300) having a front side and a back side is adapted to removably install in the wiring module (1600) proximate the functional side. A contact set is disposed at least partially within the functional module (300) and is adapted to conduct electrical power to an electrical distribution function accessible from the front side. A plurality of shielded plugs are disposed on the back side. The shielded plugs incorporate a portion of the contact set. The structured sockets associated with the wiring module (1600) are configured to interlock with the shielded plugs associated with the functional module (300) so as to provide electrical communication between the terminal set and said contact set.

The invention relates to a modular steering column mounted switch system for motor vehicles which corresponds to the internal functions of a steering column mounted switch. Said steering column mounted switch system comprises to correspond to the inner functions thereof a plurality of functional modules. If the demands for operation and/or design made on particular modules changes, the modules characteristic of said changes can easily be replaced. All other functional modules are retained unchanged, thereby enabling simple adaptation of the steering column mounted switch to the given operation and design demands. When there is a fault, the modular steering column mounted switch can also be repaired easily and economically by replacing the defective functional module.

A switch lever (10) of a steering column switch for motor vehicles has an electric switch (12) arranged at the free end (11) of the switch lever and having at least one switch component (13, 14) and a housing (16) which is inserted as a functional switch unit (12) with its housing (16) in a holder (51) in the free end of the switch lever (11). In said free end (11) there are first electric connection contacts (27-29) with which corresponding second contacts (56-58) on the switch unit (12) can be put into operational connection on the insertion of said switch unit. This provides a switch lever (10), the fitting of which with the switch unit (12) fitted at the end is simplified and which at the same time ensures reliable operation.

A circuit interrupting device (10) has a circuit interrupter (12) with a stationary contact (26) and a moveable contact (28). The movable contact is movable relative to the stationary contact between a closed position that allows current to pass through the circuit interrupter and an open position separating the contacts and preventing current from passing through the circuit interrupter. The movable contact is controlled by a solenoid assembly (14). The movable contact is connected to a plunger (62) of the solenoid assembly by a turnbuckle (16) and weld break assembly. The turnbuckle and weld break assembly permits adjusting the contact wipe distance and generates a hammer force to break any welds between the contacts of the vacuum interrupter.
