    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for capability indications by a reduced capability user equipment (UE) and UE-based performance measurement parameter reporting or self-organizing network (SON) parameter reporting based on the capability indications. A reduced capability UE may transmit a set of capabilities to a base station that indicate various types of parameter reporting that are supported at the UE. The base station may identify the UE as a reduced capability device, and set one or more reporting parameters based on the indicated UE capabilities. The base station may provide a reporting configuration to the UE with the one or more reporting parameters, and the UE may provide reporting of measured parameters (e.g., performance measurement parameter reporting or SON parameter reporting) based on the reporting configuration.

    摘要: Reference signals used in location estimation of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless data network can be secured against a man-in-the-middle attack by a transmitting device withholding the conveyance of transmission parameters for decoding portions of a reference signal until after the portions are transmitted. Thus, receiving devices can buffer received signals and, after receiving the transmission parameters, process the buffered signals. To further prevent an attacker device from attacking future reference signals, transmission parameters can be nondeterministic such that an attacker device obtaining a parameter at a certain period of time is unable to use the decoded parameter predict or determine subsequent transmission parameters.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may relay wireless communications between a first base station and a second UE via at least a sidelink communication link with the second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the first base station, a measurement report for one or more candidate base stations, the measurement report indicating that the one or more candidate base stations support sidelink relay operation. The first UE may receive instructions to perform a handover procedure from the first base station to a second base station of the one or more candidate base stations based on the measurement report, where the second base station supports sidelink relay operation. The first UE may then perform the handover procedure including establishing a wireless connection with the second base station based on the instructions.
