摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for capability indications by a reduced capability user equipment (UE) and UE-based performance measurement parameter reporting or self-organizing network (SON) parameter reporting based on the capability indications. A reduced capability UE may transmit a set of capabilities to a base station that indicate various types of parameter reporting that are supported at the UE. The base station may identify the UE as a reduced capability device, and set one or more reporting parameters based on the indicated UE capabilities. The base station may provide a reporting configuration to the UE with the one or more reporting parameters, and the UE may provide reporting of measured parameters (e.g., performance measurement parameter reporting or SON parameter reporting) based on the reporting configuration.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection over a wireless local area network (WLAN) link. For example, the wireless device may transmit a packet to an access point or WLAN termination that includes an RRC container including an RRC message for establishing (e.g., setting up, resuming) a connection with a centralized unit (CU). In some examples, the wireless device may additionally or alternatively be configured with dual connectivity over a WLAN link, including the addition, modification, and release of nodes associated with different radio access technologies. In such cases, the CU may configure connectivity with the WLAN, where the CU may configure a port number for each radio bearer via an RRC message transmitted over a direct link with the wireless device (e.g., via a distributed unit) or via the WLAN link.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, control signaling indicating a configuration for establishing a dual connectivity connection. The dual connectivity connection may include a wireless local area network (WLAN) link and a cellular network link. The UE may establish the WLAN link or the cellular network link as a primary link of the dual connectivity connection. The primary link may be reconfigurable between the WLAN link and the cellular network link. The dual connectivity connection may support a single radio resource control connection associated with the primary link between the UE and the network entity. The UE may communicate with the network entity using at least the primary link of the dual connectivity connection. The UE may support a single radio resource control state of the plurality of radio resource control states at a time.

The remote UE may transmit, to the target master network entity during the RRC reestablishment procedure, one or more measurements corresponding to the second entity change. The remote UE may receive, from the target master network entity, a dual connectivity configuration based on the transmitted one or more measurements. The dual connectivity configuration may correspond to the first entity change and the second entity change. The remote UE may communicate with the target master network entity and the target secondary network entity based on the dual connectivity configuration.

摘要: Reference signals used in location estimation of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless data network can be secured against a man-in-the-middle attack by a transmitting device withholding the conveyance of transmission parameters for decoding portions of a reference signal until after the portions are transmitted. Thus, receiving devices can buffer received signals and, after receiving the transmission parameters, process the buffered signals. To further prevent an attacker device from attacking future reference signals, transmission parameters can be nondeterministic such that an attacker device obtaining a parameter at a certain period of time is unable to use the decoded parameter predict or determine subsequent transmission parameters.

The example method also includes determining an occurrence of a node-change triggering event associated with at least one of the first AN and the first PN. The example method also includes performing a node-change procedure based on the occurrence of the node-change triggering event. The example method also includes communicating with at least one of a second AN or a second PN based on the node-change procedure, the second AN and the second PN communicating via a second network interface.

A first user equipment (UE) may relay wireless communications between a first base station and a second UE via at least a sidelink communication link with the second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the first base station, a measurement report for one or more candidate base stations, the measurement report indicating that the one or more candidate base stations support sidelink relay operation. The first UE may receive instructions to perform a handover procedure from the first base station to a second base station of the one or more candidate base stations based on the measurement report, where the second base station supports sidelink relay operation. The first UE may then perform the handover procedure including establishing a wireless connection with the second base station based on the instructions.

In some aspects, a relay user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink unicast link with a remote UE via a sidelink signaling interface. The relay UE may identify configuration information for an adaptation layer of the sidelink signaling interface, the configuration information including at least one of: a remote UE identifier associated with the sidelink unicast link for a relay service, bearer identifier information identifying one or more bearers between the remote UE and a network entity for the relay service, a radio link control (RLC) channel mapping between a bearer identifier and one or more RLC channels, or data routing information associated with the relay service. The relay UE may relay communications between the remote UE and the network entity based at least in part on the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for assisted connectivity techniques. For example, a UE may transmit, to an AN, a request to establish a RRC connection with a PN, and the AN may further transmit, to the PN, the request received from the UE to establish the RRC connection with the PN. After receiving the request, the PN may transmit, to the AN, one or more RRC connection parameters for the RRC connection with the UE, and the AN may further transmit, to the UE, the one or more connection parameters received from the PN for establishing the RRC connection with the PN. Based on the one or more parameters received from the AN, the UE may establish the RRC connection with the PN.
