    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable base station and a user equipment (UE) to mitigate interference when using full-duplex communications. For example, a base station communicating with a UE via full-duplex communications may indicate for the UE to align the time of its uplink transmissions with the time the UE receives downlink transmissions. Additionally or alternatively, the base station may indicate a timing alignment window for the UE, where the window may consist of an allowed time period the UE may use to select a time to begin uplink transmissions. In some examples, the base station may select a cyclic prefix for full-duplex communications, where the cyclic prefix may be longer than a cyclic prefix used for other communications. Further, the base station may select uplink frequency and downlink frequency bands separated by a defined guard band for full-duplex communications.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for measurement and recovery of beamformed transmission beams in which an uplink beam and a downlink beam may be decoupled beams that use different beamforming parameters. In the event that a user equipment (UE) detects a failure of the downlink beam, an indication may be provided to a base station, and the downlink beam may be switched to correspond to the uplink beam. In the event that the UE detects a failure of the uplink beam the UE may identify a candidate beam and transmit a beam recovery message to the base station. The downlink beam may have an associated first set of reference signals, and the uplink beam may have an associated second set of reference signals, and beam failure may be determined based on the different sets of reference signals.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit an indication to a base station to configure a control channel of a downlink beam in accordance with a full duplex failure detection control resource set (CORESET), wherein the full duplex failure detection CORESET is used based at least in part on the UE being associated with a full duplex communication link that includes the downlink beam and an uplink beam; and monitor a reference signal on the control channel of the downlink beam based at least in part on the full duplex failure detection CORESET in order to detect a beam failure on the downlink beam while transmitting the uplink beam, wherein monitoring the reference signal is based at least in part on a threshold that is based on one or more uplink transmission parameters.     Abstract: Improved signaling of default and scheduled beams in a Channel Occupancy Time (COT) are provided through a base station that indicates a default or scheduled reception (Rx) or transmission (Tx) beam to a UE for use in the COT. As a result, the base station allows the UE to identify its default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam for its scheduled data at earliest at the beginning of the COT, without having to derive the beam from the QCL of the lowest CORESET ID in a dynamically indicated DCI of the latest monitored slot. The UE can thus more rapidly realize the default or scheduled Rx and/or Tx beam in high unlicensed bands ( e.g . 60 GHz) and subsequently communicate with the base station in one or more COTs or a portion of a COT using the default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support uplink reporting techniques for multi transmission-reception point (TRP) transmissions. Various reporting configurations may be provided that allow for user equipment (UE) communications via multiple concurrent wireless connections with multiple TRPs. A UE may identify a reporting configuration and transmit a report (e.g., a buffer status report (BSR) or a power headroom report (PHR)) to one or more of the TRPs based on the identified reporting configuration. The multiple TRPs may have non-ideal backhaul connections and the reporting configuration may allow the UE to transmit separate reports to different TRPs. The different TRPs may then use the separate reports for corresponding communications with the UE. In cases where shared radio frequency spectrum is used for communications, a single channel access priority class (CAPC) for multiple TRPs may be determined for a contention-based channel access procedure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a configuration indicating a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state switching pattern and a TCI state switching period to a user equipment (UE). The UE may perform TCI state switching according to the TCI state switching pattern and period, and the UE may receive a downlink transmission according to the TCI state switching pattern. The UE may receive a downlink control information (DCI) including an indication of a TCI state for a subsequent TTI. The UE may receive the downlink signal in accordance with both the TCI state switching pattern and the indication in the DCI. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating a first DCI state, receive a DCI indicating a second TCI state for a subsequent TTI, switch to the second TCI state, and receive a downlink signal using the second TCI state.

A user equipment (UE) may determine, during a beam failure recovery period, that a configured control resource set at least partially overlaps with a beam failure recovery control resource set. The UE may configure, based at least in part on the at least partial overlap, a receive beam to receive the beam failure recovery control resource set.
