Abstract:
Dispensing apparatus for a beverage includes a receptacle having a base and a manifold coupled to the base. The manifold includes beverage inlet means, gas inlet means and gas outlet means. The receptacle includes an aperture for receiving a container, for example, a beer glass, and sealing means are provided on the receptacle so that the receptacle may be pressurised. In another aspect, the invention includes a product flow line for conveying the beverage from a storage point to the dispensing apparatus, the flow line including one or more product lines surrounded by a water flow line containing cooled water for maintaining the temperature of the beverage within the beverage line to within 1/2 °Celsius of a desired temperature.
Abstract:
Apparatus for dispensing a beverage, for example beer, into a container, for example, a beer glass, includes a chamber, beverage inlet means, fluid inlet means and fluid outlet means, all in communication with the chamber. The chamber is pressurisable before, and/or during dispensation of the beverage. In another aspect, the apparatus may include a piezoelectric transducer coupled to a dispense nozzle for inducing turbulence in a flow of beverage in the apparatus. The piezoelectric transducer expands and contracts in response to electrical signals to cause the dispense nozzle to vibrate.
Abstract:
A beverage font (1) comprising a housing (4) for mounting to a bar or similar surface, one or more taps (2) for dispensing beverage, one or more beverage lines (3) routed through said housing for supplying said taps (2) with beverage, and a cooling line located in thermal contact with the housing (4) through which, in use, a cooling medium can flow so as to cool the housing (4) so as to form condensation, frost or ice on at least a portion of an exterior of the housing (4).
Abstract:
A method of cleaning a beverage line (33) of a beverage dispense font (1), the font being of a type comprising condensation means (6) in thermal contact with the housing (4) through which, in use, a first cooling medium can flow, and further comprising a cooling line (21, 22) in thermal contact with the beverage line through which, in use, a second cooling medium can flow. The method comprising the steps of: passing the first cooling medium through the condensation means to form condensation, frosting or ice on an exterior of the housing;at the same time passing the second cooling medium through the cooling line; at the same time passing a cleaning medium through beverage line; whereby heat transfer between the cleaning medium and the first cooling medium is moderated by heat transfer between the second cooling medium and the cleaning medium.
Abstract:
A tap for dispensing a foaming beverage like beer having a body with a central inlet and a primary and secondary spout extending downwardly. The respective primary and secondary flow paths are open and closed by primary and secondary valves, which can be opened and closed independently from each other. The liquid portion of the beverage is dispensed from the primary flow path whereby the foamed portion of the beverage uses the secondary flow path.

Abstract:
Apparatus for dispensing beverages comprising: a primary cooler (23) located at a remote site through which one or more beverage lines (3, 33) pass so as to cool beverage flowing therein; one or more dispense fonts (1) located at a dispensation site, each dispense font comprising one or more taps (2); the one or more beverage lines extending from the primary cooler to the one or more dispense fonts for transporting beverage to the one or more taps; the one or more beverage lines running between the primary cooler and the dispensation site within a python (20). Wherein the python comprises a cooling circuit (21, 22) for transporting a cooling medium from the primary cooler to the dispensation site and returning said cooling medium to the primary cooler. The apparatus further comprises a secondary cooler (24) through which the cooling medium passes so as to cool the cooling medium.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compounds, compositions, and methods for the study, diagnosis, and treatment of traits, diseases and conditions that respond to the modulation of HBV gene expression and/or activity, and/or modulate a HBV gene expression pathway. Specifically, the invention relates to double-stranded nucleic acid molecules including small nucleic acid molecules, such as short interfering nucleic acid (siNA), short interfering RNA (siRNA), double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), micro-RNA (miRNA), and short hairpin RNA (shRNA) molecules that are capable of mediating or that mediate RNA interference (RNAi) against HBV gene expression.
