Abstract:
A method and device are provided for creating and utilizing a database which enables ascribing a plurality of communication addresses to each of a plurality of users' entries comprised therein, and wherein each of the plurality of communication addresses is associated with a different communication application, allowing a user who wishes to communicate with another user while applying a certain communication application, to communicate with that other user who uses a different communication application.
Abstract:
A method is described for providing a telephone user with the capability to use Internet-based applications. The user (24) sends a request to be connected to an Internet-based application (30, 32, 34). The request is received by a first server (26), which establishes a path via that server, extending between the telephone device (24) and a second server (30, 32, 34) at which the application resides. Next, a virtual client entity (28) is created at that first server (26), and communicates with the telephone device (24) and with the second server application (30, 32, 34). In addition, after establishing a connection between the application and the telephone user, the user' s ID may be stored at the first server and used as a destination for forwarding messages directed to that user when the user is not actively connected to the application. After receiving and storing the message at the first server, an indication is sent to inform that a message has been received.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing an individual being adjacent thereto with one or more certified documents, is disclosed. The apparatus includes an identification device operative to identify the individual; a decision means (4) operative to grant or deny access to that individual in order to interact with the apparatus, based on input received from said identification device; a user interface (6), adapted to be activated by the individual in order to determine the one or more documents which the individual wishes to be dispensed by the apparatus or be deposited thereat; determination means operative to determine the eligibility of said individual to receive/deposit said one or more documents; and printing means (8) operative to print certified documents in response to an affirmative determination made by the determination means, or certified confirmation for a deposit of document(s) by that individual.
Abstract:
A communication device is provided for enabling a TV viewer to transmit signals towards a service provider. The communication device comprises: a user interface adapted to receive input signal from the TV viewer; a transceiver adapted to communicate wirelessly with a service provider via a remote server; and a TV interface adapted to allow forwarding of signals received from a TV source and of signals received from a service provider, towards a TV device of the TV viewer. Preferably the signals received from both sources are displayed simultaneously within different viewing windows at the screen of the TV device.
Abstract:
A method is provided to enable a user of a telephone device to use and process personal information stored at a remote server. The method comprises the steps of: (a) upon turning the telephone device on, transmitting an indication that the telephone device has been turned on towards the remote server; (b) generating a managing virtual client entity associated with that user which resides at the remote server; (c) providing a plurality of options to enable selecting an option for retrieving personal information; (d) upon selecting an option, generating at least one temporary virtual client entity that resides the remote server for enabling a communication session to be held with the user; and (e) establishing a communication path that extends between the user's telephone device and a remote destination via the temporary virtual client entity, thereby allowing to carry out a communication session in accordance with the selected option.
Abstract:
A separation arrangement is provided for separating between particles of different materials having different densities and comprised in a mixture of fine particles. The arrangement comprises: a solid particles feed ingress means, a solid particles pushing/pulling means and at least one mesh adapted to stop particles of the lighter material. The particles comprised in the mixture are allowed to free fall within the separation arrangement, and particles of the lighter material are being extracted away from the free falling particles by the solid particles pushing/pulling means and conveyed towards the at least one mesh. The particles of the heavier material are allowed to complete their free fall and to reach the lower part of the separation arrangement.
Abstract:
A cooling arrangement adapted to be used in a process of preparing a fine powder, and a method for using same are described. The cooling arrangement (100) comprises: a solid particles feed ingress means, a solid particles mixing means (140), a plurality of cooling air discharging devices (130) and a solid particles egress means. The. cooling arrangement is characterized in that the averaged diameter of the solid particles fed the said solid particles ingress means is essentially less than 6 mm. Preferably, the solid particles are fed to the cooling arrangement and free fall (120) onto the bottom section thereof.
Abstract:
A user status notification system is provided which comprises: a first communication device that comprises a status reporting means operative to forward current status of the first user towards a status provisioning apparatus; a second communication device operative to forward a request to receive status information associated with the first user; a status request processing apparatus adapted to retrieve capabilities associated with the second communication device, to process the status information request initiated by the second user, and to forward the processed status request towards a status information provisioning apparatus; a status provisioning apparatus adapted to receive the processed status request, to retrieve information about the first user current status and to forward the retrieved information towards the second user device; and means operative to establish a communication session between the first and second users in accordance with the users' devices capabilities as retrieved by the status request processing apparatus.
Abstract:
A method is provided for consolidating data retrieved from different text records stored in different languages and associated with a single user. According to an embodiment, the method comprises the steps of: extracting a plurality of users' identifications from a plurality of text records and converting them into a corresponding plurality of speech records, each being essentially identical to the pronunciation of a corresponding user identification in a language which its respective text record has been stored; converting each speech record to a respective data record; extracting from the data records obtained, at least one group of data records comprising two or more data records essentially identical to each other; for each of the groups, retrieving information comprised in two or more text records which are stored in different languages from each other; and storing the information retrieved in a consolidated text record.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cutting tool for deep hole drilling. The cutting tool has a cutting head mounted on a shank. The cutting head is formed asymmetrically with respect to a longitudinal axis and has at least one cutting edge. The cutting head has guiding segments that extend from a forward end to a rear end of the cutting head. Each of the guiding segments has a guiding pad in the periphery thereof. A forward end of the guiding pad lies on a cylindrical envelope defined by the cutting diameter of the cutting tool. A rear engagement portion of the cutting head is engaged with a forward engagement portion of the shank. The cutting head is made from sintering carbide powders and the guiding pads are integrally formed with the cutting head.
