Abstract: The self-adhesive film for masking and/or protecting surfaces, in particular those subject to high temperature operations such as painting cycles, is formed of a support having a surface covered by a self-adhesive mass of the "removable type". This support is a multilayer formed from at least two layers assembled together by means of a bonding process. These layers include a layer having one surface covered by the said self-adhesive mass and a backing layer, which are of plastics or metal materials having melting points > 150°C, such as homopolymers and copolymers of polyesters, polypropylene, polyamide and polyurethane, aluminium and its alloys.
