A base station (1400) in a wireless communication network transmits, to a user equipment (1300) and on a downlink control channel, a trigger signal that triggers the user equipment (1300) to assess a shared channel. The trigger signal also configures the user equipment (1300) with radio resources of an uplink channel with which to report a result of the assessment. The base station receives, on the radio resources of the uplink channel, the report of the result of the assessment performed by the user equipment (1300) and transmits data on the shared downlink channel to the user equipment (1300). The transmitting of the data is based on the result of the assessment performed by the user equipment (1300).

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for uplink polling for, e.g., New Radio (NR) in millimeter wave (mm-Wave) frequency bands. In one embodiment, a network node is configured to transmit a polling request, the polling request indicating a request for a wireless device's uplink buffer status; and as a result of the polling request, receive a polling response. In another embodiment, a wireless device (WD) is configured to receive a polling request, the polling request indicating a request for the WD's uplink buffer status; and as a result of the polling request, determine the WD's uplink buffer status.
Abstract:
A method is provided for use in a network node in wireless communications network. The method includes determining, a plurality of transmission opportunities, TXOPs, in which to attempt to transmit a paging signal in a plurality of beams. The plurality of beams have a beam order. The method further includes assigning a predetermined number of the plurality of TXOPs to each beam of the plurality of beams, wherein none of the TXOPs is assigned to more than one beam. The method further includes performing at least one clear channel assessment, CCA, before transmitting the paging signal in one of the TXOPs. The method further includes transmitting the paging signal in a first beam of the plurality of beams using one of the plurality of TXOPs assigned to the first beam based on a first successful CCA covering the used TXOP.

Methods and systems for multiplexing of different traffic types in a telecommunications network are provided. According to one aspect, a method of operation of a network node comprises: determining that data is available for a Downlink (DL) transmission of a first traffic type to a User Equipment (UE); identifying a DL transmission of a second traffic type to be punctured; transmitting the DL transmission of the first traffic type by puncturing the identified DL transmission of the second traffic type; receiving a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) Negative Acknowledgement (NACK) associated with the punctured DL transmission of the second traffic type; and excluding the HARQ NACK associated with the punctured DL transmission of the second traffic type from a DL Contention Window Size (CWS) adjustment operation of the network node.

Disclosed herein is a method implemented in a network node for transmitting data to a wireless device, wherein the data is time aligned with a periodic high priority transmission. The method comprises the steps of defining a zone prior to the occasion of the periodic high priority transmission where data packets could be aligned, identifying suitable data packets to schedule in the zone prior to the periodic high priority transmission, performing a clear channel assessment – CCA – and transmitting the periodic high priority transmission and potentially the data packets. Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods of transmitting and receiving transmission feedback in a radio network node. More particularly the disclosure pertains to transmitting and receiving messages acknowledging reception and successful decoding of a transport block in a radio network node. The disclosure also relates to a wireless device providing transmission feedback and to a radio network node receiving the transmission feedback. The disclosure proposes a method, performed in a radio network node, of receiving transmission feedback. The method comprises transmitting S1, using a set of transmission properties, a transport block to a receiving wireless device and receiving S2, from the receiving wireless device, an acknowledgement, ACK, confirming reception and successful decoding of the transport block in the receiving wireless device, wherein the ACK defines a decoding margin of the decoding. The disclosure also proposes a corresponding method in a wireless device and corresponding devices as well as a corresponding computer program.

A method performed by a network node for determining a mobility criterion related to a wireless communications device in a wireless communications network. The network node obtains (302) an information related to an UL propagation condition associated to the wireless communications device. The network node determines (303) a measure of imbalance between the UL propagation condition and a DL propagation condition associated to the wireless communications device. The measure of imbalance is based on the information related to the UL propagation condition. The network node determines (304) the mobility criterion based on the measure of imbalance between the UL propagation condition and the DL propagation condition.

According to one aspect, a method in a network node (16) includes determining a WD processing capability,-slot and,-slot, for processing a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, according to: an operating numerology, μ ; and a number B of slots. The method also includes configuring the WD (22) to monitor for PDCCH based at least in part on the determined processing capability; and transmitting PDCCH to the WD (22) in at least one of two slots n0 and n0+x in which the WD (22) monitors for PDCCH, where x is greater than zero.

There is disclosed a method of operating a radio node (10, 100) in a wireless communication network, the radio node (10, 100) being adapted for accessing a carrier for transmission based on a Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) procedure, the method comprising transmitting Short Control Signaling (SCS) on the carrier without a CCA procedure and/or with limited CCA procedure based on the fulfillment of one or more SCS criteria.
