摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a radio base station (12) for estimating Doppler spread of a signal transmitted by a user equipment (10) over a channel in a radio communications network. The radio base station (12) and user equipment (10) are comprised in the radio communications network. The radio base station (12) receives a first signal and a second signal from the user equipment (10), which first signal and second signal are based on the signal transmitted by the user equipment (10). The first and second signals are separated in space, time and/or polarisation. The radio base station (12) estimates a first channel estimate of the received first signal by comparing the received first signal to a known signal, and a second channel estimate of the received second signal by comparing the received second signal to the known signal. The radio base station (12) determines a ratio of the first channel estimate to the second channel estimate, and estimates an autocorrelation function of a function of the determined ratio. The radio base station (12) then estimates the Doppler spread based on the estimated autocorrelation function.

摘要: A basic idea is to determine (S1) occurrence of a glitch caused by operation of the AGC mechanism, identify (S2) those modulation symbols in a digitized version of the received signal that are affected by the glitch, each modulation symbol represented by a number of bits in combination, and then reduce (S3), for each of the identified modulation symbols, the contribution in representing the identified modulation symbol as provided by at least a subset of the bits of the modulation symbol. In this way, the adverse effects of the glitch can be effectively mitigated and subsequent detection of the desired signal can be significantly improved. This also means that the link performance will be significantly improved.

摘要: A method (300) for determining cells in which a preamble has been transmitted. The method includes obtaining (s302) N sample sets, wherein each one of the N sample sets comprises a set of M samples and each one of the N sample sets is associated with a different cell included in a set of N cells. The method also includes adding (s304) the N sample sets to create a first combined set of samples comprising M samples. The method also includes forming (s306) a first candidate set of one or more tuples based on the first combined set of samples and an initial set of tuples comprising a plurality of tuples, wherein each tuple comprises a candidate preamble and a candidate delay, and wherein each candidate preamble comprises a set of samples. The method further includes using (s308) the first candidate set of one or more tuples to determine, for each cell included in the set of cells, whether a preamble included in the first candidate set of tuples was transmitted in the cell.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for determining time-of-arrival of a PRACH preamble. A method is performed by a radio access network node. The radio access network node is configured for beamformed communication in a set of beams. The method comprises receiving, from a UE and at a TRP of the radio access network node, a PRACH preamble. The method comprises determining a weight factor value for the PRACH preamble. The weight factor value is dependent on beam information mapped to the PRACH preamble. The beam information identifies one of the beams in the set of beams. The method comprises determining time-of-arrival of the PRACH preamble using hypothesis testing that incorporates the weight factor value.

The method further includes determining (504) a time interval in which to transmit the random access preamble. The method further comprises transmitting (506) the random access preamble according to the selected random access preamble configuration. Each of the plurality of random access preamble configurations comprises a combination of (a) a single root sequence from a predetermined set of one or more root sequences, (b) a single cyclic shift of a predetermined plurality of cyclic shifts for the root sequence, and (c) a single starting position of two or more predetermined starting positions within time intervals allocated for random access preamble transmission.

摘要: The present invention generates exponents of elements of a Zadoff-Chu sequence representing a preamble for uplink synchronization of mobile stations or a mobile station reference signal by first obtaining (Sl) a preamble index defining the Zadoff-Chu sequence. Then it determines an initial exponent (S3) of the first element in the Zadoff-Chu sequence and an initial first difference (S2, S4) between exponents of consecutive elements of the Zadoff-Chu sequence. Finally it determines (S5-S9) exponents of the remaining elements in the Zad- off-Chu sequence from the initial first difference and the initial exponent in an iterative procedure that avoids multiplication operations.

摘要: A method for providing motion information of a UE (10) in a wireless communication system (1). The method comprises initiating, in a first network node (30, 20 A), of a first Doppler shift measurement concerning the UE. In the first network node, a transfer of requests for second Doppler shift measurement concerning the UE is initiated to second network nodes (30, 20B). Data representing the first Doppler shift measurement is obtained in the first network node. Data representing the second Doppler shift measurements is obtained in the first network node. An estimated motion, in more than one dimension, of the UE is determined in dependence of at least the obtained data representing the first Doppler shift measurement and the obtained data representing the second Doppler shift measurements. A method for assisting by the second network node, as well as network nodes performing the methods are also disclosed.

摘要: A wireless device is configured to utilize a first carrier for accessing a communication network, the first carrier being implemented according to a first radio-access technology (RAT) and having a first transmission frequency band, the communication network further provides for network access via a second carrier, the second carrier being implemented according to a second RAT and having a second transmission frequency band, the second transmission frequency band at least partially overlaps with the first transmission frequency band. A method performed by the wireless device comprises: receiving a configuration message for the first carrier from a network node, the configuration message comprising an indication of resources in which the wireless device is configured with reference signals according to the first RAT. The resources in which the wireless device is configured with reference signals according to the first RAT are defined to enable mapping of resources for a data channel on the first carrier around one or more signals transmitted on the second carrier according to the second RAT.

摘要: There is disclosed methods, devices and computer programs for determining new transmit directions to use for beamformed transmissions in case the link quality of an existing direction falters. A transmitting communication device and a receiving communication device cooperates via a beam tracking procedure to determine a new suitable transmit direction to use for upcoming beamformed transmissions. Information relating to the beam tracking procedure is communicated over an existing link that enables communication between the transmitting and receiving communication devices. The receiving communication device provides the transmitting communication device with information about a beam scan performed in order to detect tracking beams transmitted by the transmitting communication device. This information allows the transmitting communication device to determine suitable transmit directions to use.
