Abstract: Donor-acceptor conjugated polymers, their precursors, synthesis and use. Electron-accepting (A) and electron-donating (D) repeat units having a conjugated polymer backbone are able to operate under both positive and negative bias, making a device with a relatively high operating voltage possible. The specific energy and specific power exceeds what is attainable with conventional conjugated polymers.
