Abstract:
Methods for enhancing fragrance longevity of a rinse-off cleansing composition can include combining surfactant, perfume, solvent, and water, to form the composition, wherein the composition is not a ringing gel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a personal care article for providing at least two liquid personal care compositions. The personal care article comprises a single chamber package and a liquid personal care product. The package comprises a dispensing orifice, a first zone proximate to the dispensing orifice and a second zone distal to the dispensing orifice. The liquid personal care product comprises a first personal care composition substantially disposed within the first zone and the second personal care composition substantially disposed within the second zone. The first personal care composition comprises a first concentration of hydrophobic benefit material. The second personal care composition comprises a second concentration of hydrophobic benefit material. The first concentration of hydrophobic benefit material is different from the second concentration of hydrophobic benefit material.
Abstract:
The multiphase personal care composition of the present invention comprises a first phase and a second phase. The first phase is comprised of structured surfactant phase that comprises at least about 0.5% of alkylamphoacetate. The alkylamphoacetate comprises a Percentage Diacetate of less than about 15%.
Abstract:
A multi-phase personal cleansing composition is described that comprises a cleansing phase comprising from about 2 % to about 23 %, by weight of the composition, of a surfactant component comprising a surfactant or a mixture of surfactants; and wherein the composition has a Structured Domain Volume Ratio of at least about 45 %. Preferably, the surfactant component comprises at least one branched anionic surfactant. Preferably, the anionic surfactant comprises greater than 5 %, by weight of the anionic surfactant, of a monomethyl branched anionic surfactant.
Abstract:
The present invention is a stable multi-phase personal care composition comprising: at least two visually distinct phases; wherein at least one visually distinct phase comprises a cleansing phase comprising from about 2% to about 90%, by weight of the cleansing phase, of a surfactant component; and wherein said cleansing phase comprises a polymeric phase structurant; and wherein said visually distinct phases form a pattern.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an article for cleansing body surfaces. The article contains an effervescent composition, a first layer and a cleansing composition. Surprisingly, the article provides improved lather and cleansing with a Steady Flash Lather Volume of 250 ml, a Steady Total Lather Volume of 850 ml and a Rinsability percent of greater than about 50%.
Abstract:
The self-inflating article of the present invention contains a self-inflating personal care article contains, an inflatable bladder containing a substrate, at least one rupturable reservoir, a cleansing composition wherein said rupturable reservoir is positioned within the sack of the inflatable bladder. The self-inflating article surprisingly provides effective cleansing benefits to the skin and hair in a convenient, inexpensive, and sanitary manner.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a disposable article that contains a plurality of substrate layers. The article is selected from the group consisting of pad sized articles, grip sized articles, sheet sized articles and combinations. These articles have a cleansing composition associated with the substrate layers. The articles provide effective cleansing benefits to the skin and hair in a convenient, inexpensive, and sanitary manner. The articles of the present invention also have superior thickness. Additionally, the article has increased rigidity while at the same time is flexible. The increase in rigidity and thickness provides for an article that does not crush or crumple during use. The article of the present invention can also provide a therapeutic or aesthetic benefit without the need for a separate benefit providing product.
Abstract:
The article contains a fibrous, non-woven web and having a personal care composition associated with this web. The present invention relates to disposable, personal care articles useful for cleansing and/or treating the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces. These articles are used by the consumer by either wetting the dry article with water and then rubbing the article against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces, or taking a wet, disposable, personal care article and rubbing against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces or taking a moist, disposable, personal care article and rubbing against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces.
Abstract:
Disclosed are topical compositions, including methods of applying those compositions to absorb sweat and sebum from the skin, wherein the compositions comprise (A) fluid-absorbent solids having a Water Absorption Value of at least about 0.5 grams/gram; (B) an adhesive fluid; and (C) a liquid carrier; herein the composition has an Average Wear Index Value of at least about 60%. The topical compositions provide effective delivery and deposition of the fluid-absorbent solid onto the skin from an extended wear composition.
