Abstract:
The invention concerns an integral threaded or sleeved assembly of two metal tubes provided or not with an internal coating and in particular designed to contain internally a corrosive fluid. The assembly male element(s) (1) each comprise in the direction of their open end a threaded part (13) and an unthreaded part, the latter comprising successively a sealing metal surface (14), a ring-shaped transverse support surface (15) and a nozzle surface (16) which joins the tube internal peripheral surface (10) via a radial surface (17) called inner end. The female element(s) comprise elements corresponding to the male elements and co-operating therewith. A sealing ring (40) is set between the inner end ring-shaped surfaces (17), (17') and prevents the liquid phase from seeping into the assembly. The assembly is characterised in that it comprises sealing metal male surfaces (14) arranged between threaded part (13) and support surface (15) and by the presence of a clearance between the nozzle outer peripheral surface (16) and the reinforcement inner peripheral surface (26) opposite the female element (2). The invention includes in particular special solutions when the tubes (10') are provided with an internal coating particularly in the form of tubes with inner lining (51), (51'). In such a case, flanges (60), (60') are provided to provide continuity for the coating on the ring-shaped end surfaces.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a tubular threaded joint comprising two male and female threaded elements one screwed into the other with a specific torque wherein at least one thread surface under contact pressure (125) has prior to being screwed a continuous convex bulged shape over its bending radius length ranging between 2 and 60 mm and is in point-to-point contact with the corresponding surface (26) of the conjugate element. Such a threaded joint exhibits enhanced screwing and unscrewing strength. In one embodiment, the convex bulged surface (125) is a male or female thread flank and one of the male or female threads comprises a groove (31) emerging at the thread crest (29) to make, as the case may be, either the convex bulged flank (125) or the corresponding flank flexible. Such a geometry enables to accommodate contact variations between the flanks.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a tubular threaded joint provided with a device for preventing over-screwing and unscrewing, comprising a male component (3) with an external thread (8) and a female component (2) with an internal thread, these two components capable of being assembled according to a predetermined tightening torque. A female portion (7) arranged beyond the female thread (19) and a male portion (13) arranged beyond the male thread (12) provide between their internal (14) and external (15) surfaces a ring-shaped zone whereof a part at least form a gauged zone (20) wherein an adhesive provides mechanical bonding between the female portion (7) and the male portion (13). The joint is useful particularly in the oil and gas industry.
