Abstract:
A rapid bellows compression and/or expansion tool (0) comprises a plurality of adjusting means (28) that allow to adjust an axial distance between a first engaging member (14) adapted to engage a bellows at a first portion thereof, and a second engaging member (16) adapted to engage said bellows at a second opposing portion thereof. Transfer means (34) are provided to mechanically coupling the plurality of adjusting means (28), thereby providing for a uniform and synchronous bellows compression and/or expansion.
Abstract:
An adjustable cable fitting for a thru-arm cable of a robotic welding torch includes a female member formed of an elongated tubular body having a forward end, a rear end, and a through hole extending axially from the forward end to the rear end. The forward end includes a nose portion for connection to a welding cable. A male member is cooperable with the female member in a telescoping manner. The male member includes a shaft received in the through hole of the female member, a receiver connected to the shaft for receiving a power pin, and a through hole extending axially through the shaft and receiver. A nut is disposed on the shaft for locking a position of the shaft relative to the female member. Adjustment of a disposition of the male member relative to the female member varies an effective length of the power cable.
Abstract:
An adjustable fracturing system (10) is provided. In one embodiment, the system includes a fracturing head (60, 62, 64) having an adjustable body with a first portion (82) and a second portion (84) that enable variation in a dimension of the fracturing head. The system may also include a fracturing manifold (22) coupled to a fracturing tree (20), and the fracturing head may facilitate connection of the fracturing manifold to the fracturing tree through variation of the dimension of the fracturing head. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An expandable coupling arrangement for coupling first and second tubulars includes a male thread portion on an end of the first tubular and a female thread portion on an end of the second tubular. The thread portions comprise dovetail threads having flanks, roots and crests, wherein the flanks are inclined at an angle of greater than 10°.
Abstract:
A method of forming a sealed joint between a tubular article (10) and a thin sheet article (14) wherein the articles (10, 14) are made of metallic materials that are capable of fusion welding together. One step in the method involves locating an end of the tubular article in a collar (20) surrounding a hole (12) formed in the thin sheet article (14). An end (22) of the tubular article (14) is positioned to lie substantially flush with a proximal end (24) of the collar (20). Next the ends (22, 24) of the collar and the tubular article are fusion welded forming a circumferential bead (26) creating an integral joint. Consequently in effect the previously separate a tubular article (10) and a thin sheet article (14) become a single piece.
Abstract:
A dismantling joint for joining a first pipeline component to a second pipeline component including a first half and a second half, the first half including a cylindrical spigot having an outer face and a flange extending outwardly from the outer face of the spigot, the flange having an inner face and an outer face remote from the inner face, and the second half including a socket adapted to slidably receive therein the spigot of the first half, the socket having a proximal end and a distal end remote from the proximal end, the proximal end being opposed to the inner face of the flange of the first half; and forcing means arranged between the inner face of the flange of the first half and the proximal end of the spigot to engage the inner face of the flange of the first half and the proximal end of the socket of the second half adjacent the outer face of the spigot to force the first and second halves away from each other.
Abstract:
A length adjustable pipe connector is disclosed. The pipe connector includes a connection pipe provided in the first end with a connection part to be connected to a first pipe through a screw engagement; an inner pipe provided on a first end thereof with a rubber packing to be in close contact with the inner surface of the connection pipe, and provided at a second end thereof with an inner threaded part to be engaged with an outer threaded part of a second pipe; and a rotary bolt provided on the outer surface thereof with rotation threads to be engaged with axial movement threads formed around the outer surface of the inner pipe and rotatably held in a receiving part formed in a second end of the connection pipe. The inner pipe can be projected from or retracted into the connection pipe by rotation of the rotary bolt.
Abstract:
A shower mounting arrangement is described that comprises a support element (12) having mounting openings (14) whereby the support element (12) can be secured to a wall or other support, at least one connecting member (20) secured to or formed integrally with the support element (12), the connecting member (20) having an inlet opening (24), an outlet opening (26) and an internal passage (28) interconnecting the inlet and outlet openings (24, 26), wherein the outlet opening (26) is provided with an internal screw thread formation, and a stub (30) threadedly connected to the connecting member (20), cooperating with the thread formation, the stub (30) being of hollow form defining an internal passage communicating with the internal passage (28) of the connecting member (20). A tool for use in the installation of the arrangement is also described.
