Abstract:
A pressure compensation member, an irrigation drip emitter, drip lines and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The pressure compensation member being suitable for use in conventional emitters or alternate emitters being provided having either a uniform elastomeric emitter body configuration or a poly-material emitter body utilizing an elastomeric pressure compensation member. Various methods are also disclosed herein relating to the pressure compensation member, emitters and/or drip line using such pressure compensating members and/or emitters.
Abstract:
An irrigation management system which allows for modulation of the watering gradient along crop rows. The system may include dual drip lines which allow for selection of gradients based upon the time each of the dual lines is active. The system may utilize pressure sensitive valves which select drip lines based upon the inlet feed water pressure. The system may include drip emitters which modify flow rates based upon inlet feed water pressure.
Abstract:
A bi-component pressure compensation integral drip emitter and its manufacturing means and method, wherein the emitter comprise a bi-level body component and a cover component and wherein said cover component is produced by a bi-component injection into a mold, and is formed also with a sector of an elastomer for the purpose of enabling the pressure compensation of the emitter, and wherein in a preferred embodiment the emitter is a unit-part, wherein said body component and cover component are fabricated through bi-component injection into one mold, and wherein from the beginning they are pinned one to the other via an integral hinge and hence constitute a unified part.
Abstract:
A fluid flow emitter is provided, which is to be mounted within a fluid distribution tube to control the rate at which fluid is distributed from the tube. The emitter may include a cylindrical body having a pair of raised radially-extending annular portions extending circumferentially around the emitter. These raised portions define a fluid flow path. The body may define a multiplicity of apertures making up an aperture region disposed between the radially-extending annular portions. A flow control section is also provided which includes an upstream end and a downstream end. A fluid distribution region is also provided, into which the flow control section discharges. The fluid distribution region is in fluid interconnection with at least one orifice defined in the fluid distribution tube.
Abstract:
An irrigation tube having outlets extending along the length of the tube in a spaced relationship and finely-divided silica or iron oxide particles dispersed in the tube thereby increasing a surface hardness of the tube to deter rodent, worm or insect damage, the silica particles further can include an odor repellant located within the particles.
Abstract:
The cylindrical emitter (3) with water filter is welded into a pipe (2), the filter develops in the internal concave surface of the emitter and is comprised of a collection channel (4) developing preferably peripherally and to an arc of large magnitude incorporating considerable number of orthogonal openings (5) formed by the side walls (11) of shallow channels (12) that cross perpendicular the collection channel (4) extended to a considerable length front and rear of the openings (5). Every opening (5) corresponds to a shallow channel (12), the shallow channels are parallel to the flow (14) of the water and are preferably raised over the internal concave surface of the emitter. The flow in the shallow channels (12) feeds continuously the collection channel (4) irrespectible if the surface of the openings (5) is covered or not by foreign particles (15). The openings (5) and the side walls of the filter are formed with the engraving of longitudinal, shallow and preferably radial channels on the cylindrical core of the mold that forms also the internal cylindrical surface of the emitter.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an emitter comprising a plurality of holes 106, running along a first edge 102 and a second edge 104 of the emitter. The emitter 100 may further comprise of an echelon shaped teeth portion 1 14. The echelon shaped teeth portion may run parallel to the first edge 102 and the second edge 104. Further the echelon shaped teeth portion 114 at least partially extends between the first side 110 and the second side 112.
Abstract:
An irrigation drip emitter, and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The emitter having at least one moveable member for compensating for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure. In various forms, the emitter may include one or more of an inlet protrusion to draw fluid from closer to the center of the inner lumen of the drip line, a root growth inhibitor for hindering root growth at or near the emitter and/or drip line, a root growth inhibitor fastener for securing the inhibitor to the emitter at a desired position, one or more stepped baffle teeth or flippers for improving and/or controlling pressure compensation of the emitter, and carrier for carrying the emitter. Related methods are also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
A controllable emitter of an irrigation apparatus including a drip line having pressurized fluid therein is provided. The controllable emitter includes a container coupled to the drip line, the container being formed to define an interior and including an inlet through which the pressurized fluid is receivable in the interior from the drip line and an outlet through which the pressurized fluid is exhaustible from the interior, a magnetic stopper, which is normally disposable in a first position such that the magnetic stopper prevents a flow of the pressurized fluid through the outlet and which is actively disposable in a second position such that the magnetic stopper permits the flow and a controllable actuator configured to generate a magnetic field operable to urge the magnetic stopper to move from the first position to the second position.
