Abstract:
An article of clothing is provided that includes a waistband having at least one layer and configured to be positioned near a natural waist of the wearer, and a gusset positioned in a pubic area of the article of clothing and having a curved portion in a posterior portion of the gusset. A back rise seam is positioned on a posterior side of the article of clothing and extends between the waistband and the curved portion of the gusset. The position and size of the waistband and the gusset allows for a short length for the back rise seam and provides an upward lift to the article of clothing to position the article of clothing properly in relation to a body of the wearer.
Abstract:
A glove made from a reinforced multilayer material can prevent cuts and/or abrasions. The glove can include and exterior layer and at least one interior layer, the interior layer consisting of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene filaments. While the interior layer can entirely cover a hand of a wearer of the glove, the exterior layer does not cover the index finger of the wearer, such that the wearer's dexterity, precision, and sensitivity in their index finger are improved.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a temperature-regulating garment and air exchange system consisting of a fabric composed of a background yarn (11) which is visible on the rear and a base yarn (12) which is visible on the front of the fabric, which create the structure of the garment, where, in the zones in which specific performance characteristics are required of the garment (and therefore of the fabric), a third yarn (2) is introduced in the machining which allows the construction of a structure which lends the fabric the desired performance characteristics. In particular, in a zone designed to absorb and expel perspiration and be breathable, the garment features a fabric structure obtained by machining the background yam (1 1) and the base yarn (12) with a looser knit, i.e. openwork, with respect to other portions in which such performance is not required, so as to permit a good passage of air, and the third yarn (2) is added by inserting the said yam into a portion of row of knitting which is clearly defined in terms of the width thereof and which corresponds to the width of the breathable area to be obtained. The third yarn is machined by passing it from the inside, in contact with the person's skin, to the outside of the fabric, to be in contact with the external environment, and then returning, creating a sort of "Greek fret" between the inside and the outside of the fabric and the machining is repeated over a certain number of rows in order to create a sort of grid.
Abstract:
An article including one or more moisture wicking layers and one or more fibrous layers. The fibrous layers may have generally vertically oriented fibers, which may be oriented generally perpendicularly to a surface having or producing moisture. The article may be adapted to remove moisture form the surface having or producing moisture. The article may be breathable. The article may be quick drying. The article may provide cushioning. The article may be a wearable item.
Abstract:
A kit comprising a garment (10) formed of a layer of multi-way stretch material shaped and configured to be worn on, and retained around, a region of a user's body, the garment (10) incorporating at least one pocket (12) for receiving a thermal pad, said pocket (12) having an inner wall adjacent said user's body, in use, and an opposing outer wall, said inner and outer walls defining a cavity therebetween for receiving a thermal pack, said inner wall comprising a layer of wicking mesh material and said outer wall being configured to retain a thermal pad within said pocket (12) and against said inner wall; and a cover for a thermal pad comprising first and second opposing principal walls defining a cavity therebetween and an opening for receiving a thermal pack, the first principal wall comprising a layer of wicking mesh material and the second principal wall comprising a layer of thermally insulating material, wherein, in use, a thermal pad is inserted into the cavity defined between the principal walls of the cover to form a thermal pack, and said thermal pack is inserted into said at least one pocket (12) of said garment (10) such that said wicking mesh layer of said cover is adjacent said wicking mesh layer of said inner wall of said pocket (12).
Abstract:
A protective glove suitable for use in hazardous environments is provided. The glove may include multiple layers, each providing different aspects of protection to the wearer's hands. Multiple layers may include layers that improve grip, protect against cuts and impact, provide breathability, and/or provide waterproof and/or water resistant protection. Additional safety features may include reflective striping and impact disbursement pads and ridges. Further, the glove may be constructed to enhance user dexterity.
