Abstract:
A shoe comprising an upper, a midsole coupled to the upper and comprising a recess proximal to a junction between the upper and the midsole, a midsole insert comprising a channel, the midsole insert configured to seat within the recess, and a shoe panel configured to detachably couple to the upper of the shoe, the shoe panel comprising a first end configured to seat within the channel of the midsole insert. The shoe panel may be a midfoot or heel panel and may be detachably coupled to the upper by a hook and loop closure. The shoe may be a slip on shoe comprising a tongue side extension that is tucked under a quarter extension to allow a midfoot panel to smoothly couple to the upper over the tongue.
Abstract:
A heated insole for a shoe has an insole body, a heating element, and a removable assembly. The insole body has a recess, and the heating element delivers heat to at least a portion of the insole body. The removable assembly is removable from and insertable into the recess of the insole body, and includes a battery and a control circuit that is configured to control heating of the heating element.
Abstract:
A footwear assembly (10) including a wearable footwear part (12) and a detachable sole part (14), the wearable footwear part including a body portion (16) in which a foot is receivable and a fixed sole portion (18) extending along an underside (20) of the body portion (16). Each of the fixed sole portion (18) and the detachable sole part (14) include correspondingly arranged magnetic elements (22) adapted to be attractive to one another such that placement of the fixed sole portion (18) of the wearable footwear part (12) proximate to the detachable sole part (14) draws the detachable sole part (14) into abutment with the fixed sole portion (18) of the wearable footwear part (14).
Abstract:
Footwear for magnetotherapy, which comprises: - a support structure (2) provided with a sole (3), susceptible of resting on the ground during the deambulation of the user who wears the footwear (1), and with an upper (4), connected to the sole (3); - an inductor (5), mounted on the support structure (2); - means (6) for supplying electrical power to at least the inductor (5), associated with the support structure (2). The footwear 1 is characterized in that it further comprises an electronic circuit (13), which is mounted on the support structure (2) and comprises: an electronic control unit (14); a module for controlling the electric current (15) connected to the control unit (14) and operatively associated with the inductor (5) in order to send to the latter an electric current controlled by the control unit (14); and a communications module (16) connected to the control unit (14) and susceptible of receiving programming signals from a user. The control unit (14) is adapted to receive the programming signals from a user through the communications module (16), and it is adapted to translate them into control signals relative to the operating parameters of the inductor (5) so that the inductor (5) generates a magnetic field having the desired characteristics. Also forming an object of the invention is an assembly for magnetotherapy comprising the aforesaid footwear and a processing module, adapted to be installed in the remote unit (17) and provided with a user interface adapted to allow a user to insert and send the programming signals to the communications module (16) of the control unit (14).
Abstract:
Apparel, sporting equipment, and other items include magnetic securing systems, e.g., for holding a ball marker (152) on a golf glove (100). Housings (150) for such systems include a mount area (160) defining a base surface that includes a magnet (182) or is made from a magnetic material. At least two retaining walls (170) extend from the mount area and together with the base surface define a receptacle for receiving another component (e.g., a golf ball marker) to be held by magnetic force. In such housings, a combined total perimeter length of interior surfaces of the retaining walls around the receptacle may be less than 50% of a total length around the perimeter of the component being held.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to clothing accessories; customizable footwear; an accessory/footwear combination; a method for producing accessories and footwear; and a method for assembling accessories and footwear. The objects of the invention provide, amongst other advantages, footwear customized by the actual user using three multi-use accessories which may be used as clothing accessory or as footwear decorations applied to the footwear 2 using adhesive means.
Abstract:
