Embodiments related to hand operated apparatuses for extracting juice from food matter contained within juicer cartridges are described. In one embodiment, a juicer includes a hand operated transmission arranged to displace one or more pressing elements in order to compress a juicer cartridge disposed in a juicing chamber such that juice may be extracted. Another embodiment of a hand operated juicer is also described in which a juicer includes a liquid impermeable layer that at least partially surrounds food matter contained therein with at least a portion of the liquid impermeable layer surrounding the food matter being sized and shaped to be gripped by a user's hand and squeezed to apply pressure to the food matter. The hand operated juicer also includes an outlet formed in the liquid impermeable layer such that when the liquid impermeable layer is squeezed by a user extracted juice flows out of the outlet.

The present invention relates to a portable vacuumable juicer that comprises of juice-extracting members (11,12) and juice-collecting receptacle member (13) having a juice-dispensing spout (14), that are characterized in that all the mentioned elements are air-tightly fitted to each other by a sealing means (15) preferably in a form of an O-ring, allowing said receptacle member (13) to be vacuumized by a vacuumizing means (16) that is preferably a detachable vacuum or air suction pump (16a) that engages and communicates with a valve means (17), preferably a one-way check valve (19), that is air-tightly fitted into the spout (14).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Caipirinha-Presse mit einem Preßstempel (3) zum Zerdrücken von in einem Glas (G) eingelegten Limettenstücken (4) und mit einer Einrichtung zum Absenken des Preßstempels (3) in das Glas (G), wobei die Einrichtung zum Absenken des Preßstempels (3) eine Spindeltriebanordnung (2) mit einer im wesentlichen vertikal in einem Gegenlager (23) geführten Gewindespindel (22) aufweist, die beim Absenken des Preßstempels (3) diesen zusätzlich in eine Rotationsbewegung um die durch die Gewindespindel (22) definierte Achse (Z) versetzt und Arbeitsverfahren zum Zerdrücken von in einem Glas eingelegten Limettenstücken mit einer Einrichtung zum Absenken eines Preßstempels in das Glas, mit der vorgenannten Caipirinha-Presse, wobei eine Rotationsbewegung im unteren Teil der Absenkbewegung erzeugt wird.

The invention concerns a filter designed in particular for a citrus press attachment consisting of a first pressing dome (2) mounted on a first cup (7) comprising a filtering grid (6), provided with orifices (8). The grid (6)-first dome (2) assembly is removably placed above a bowl (9) designed to collect the juice of a citrus passing through the orifices (8). The filter is a disposable element (10) designed to be mounted on the filtering grid top and on at least a lower part of the first dome (2). Said element (10) comprises a second dome (2A), at least partial, designed to be made integral with the first dome (2) and extended by a second filtering cup (8A) for collecting the pulp derived from scraping the citrus in lieu and place of the first cup (7), while transmitting thereto the squeezed out juice.
