Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an upright liquid filtration vacuum cleaner includes a vacuum nozzle head and a housing moveably coupled to the vacuum nozzle head. The vacuum cleaner further includes a liquid tank that includes a wall defining an interior volume and a tank intake channel positioned in the interior volume. The interior volume is configured to hold a liquid. The tank intake channel is positioned to direct debris received from an intake passageway into the liquid tank so that the liquid in the interior volume of the liquid tank filters the debris into the liquid so that clean air is exhausted. The vacuum cleaner further includes a separator configured to generate an airflow. The vacuum cleaner is configured to seal the intake passageway when the vacuum cleaner is deactivated and further configured to unseal the intake passageway when the vacuum cleaner is activated.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A multimode surface cleaning apparatus comprises a surface cleaning head, an upright section moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a plurality of reclined floor cleaning positions and an upright storage position, a hand vacuum cleaner removably mounted to the upright section and an auxiliary dirt collection assembly removably mounted to the upright section wherein the auxiliary dirt collection assembly comprises a dirt collection region and optionally a pre-motor filter, one or more cyclones and a suction motor.
Abstract:
A vacuum cleaner 10 includes a suction source 42, an air inlet 98, and an airflow path 62 extending from the air inlet 98 to the suction source 42. A valve 110 is movable between an open position in which the suction source 42 and the air inlet 98 are in fluid communication and a closed position in which the valve inhibits fluid communication between the air inlet 98 and the suction source 42. The vacuum cleaner 10 also includes a link 114 coupled to the valve 110 such that movement of the link 114 in a first direction when the valve is in the closed position opens the valve 110, and movement of the link 114 in a second direction when the valve 110 is in the open position closes the valve 110. The link 114 has a deformable portion 150 resiliently deformable to permit additional movement of the link 114 in the second direction when the valve 110 is in the closed position.
Abstract:
A vacuum cleaner having an improved structure capable of enhancing suction performance includes a suction unit provided in a main body, the suction unit including an impeller disposed to suck air by rotating about an axis thereof, and a diffuser disposed to guide air discharged from the impeller. The diffuser includes an inner casing, an outer casing disposed to be spaced apart from an outer circumference of the inner casing and to form a path through which the air discharged from the impeller flows, and a plurality of vanes disposed at the inner casing to guide the air discharged from the impeller to the path, and the plurality of vanes protrude toward the outer casing to cross at least a part of the path.
Abstract:
A vacuum cleaner (20) includes a surface cleaning head (24), a pivot assembly pivotally coupled to the surface cleaning head (24), a cleaning wand (36) removably coupled to the pivot assembly, and a canister assembly (40) removably coupled to the pivot assembly. The canister assembly (40) includes a first electrical connector (120) connected to a power source, a dirt separation unit (96), and a suction motor (100) electrically connected to the power source and in fluid communication with a dirty air inlet of the cleaning head (24), the cleaning wand (36), and the dirt separation unit (96). The vacuum cleaner (20) also includes a second electrical connector (124) on the pivot assembly. The vacuum cleaner (20) is operable in an upright configuration and in a portable configuration. The cleaning wand (36) is removable from the pivot assembly when the vacuum cleaner (20) is in the upright configuration and when the vacuum cleaner (20) is in the portable configuration.
Abstract:
A surface cleaning apparatus may include a surface cleaning head having a dirty air inlet and a support structure moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head. A cleaning unit having an air flow path extending from a cleaning unit air inlet to a clean air outlet, a suction motor and a cyclone chamber provided in the airflow path, and a dirt collection chamber may be configured so that the cleaning unit air inlet is detachably connectab!e to the support structure to fluidly connect the dirty air inlet. The apparatus can be configured in a use configuration, in which the cleaning unit air inlet is connected to the support structure, and a storage configuration in which the cleaning unit air inlet is disconnected from the dirty air inlet and the cleaning unit is mounted on at least one of the support structure and the surface cleaning head.
Abstract:
