Abstract:
The present invention is an anesthesia machine cover and method intended to address the dual problems of cleanliness and organization of anesthesia equipment during surgery and is intended for single patient use. The device covers anesthesia equipment quickly prior to surgery and prevents contamination while providing for better containment and organization of ancillary equipment used for each procedure. The cover is easily removable for disposal post procedure.
Abstract:
A interconnectable port is provided. The interconnectable port is adapted to be at least partially placed in an incision in a patient's body. The interconnectable port comprises a first and second port adapted be interconnected to form the interconnectable port, wherein the second port is disconnectable from the first port, wherein the first port is connected to a first portion of a flexible wall, and the second port is connected to a second portion of the flexible wall, and wherein the flexible wall is adapted to form a chamber.
Abstract:
A medical drape (100) includes an upper portion (101) and a lower portion (102). The upper portion (101) can be pellucid, while the lower portion (102) can be opaque. To facilitate central catheter insertion, the upper portion (101) can define one or more apertures (104,105) through which a central line may be inserted. A tourniquet (401) may be integrated with the drape, as can one or more tool-less removal features (108,109).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A fluid collection system having an island (20) with a central collection vessel (22, 23, 25) including a splash pad (42) and a fluid collecting surgical drape (52) with a fluid dams (90).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a folded medical cover (30) for use in operation rooms, especially for instrument tables (2) or operation tables or the extremities of a patient. Said cover comprises a tubular section (36) with at least one first open end (32) for putting the cover on the table (2) or the extremity, and with a second, especially closed end (34). The tubular section (36) is folded at least once at an angle to its longitudinal direction (16) and the second end (34) has the effect of a stop (53) when the cover is put on the table or the extremity. The aim of the invention is to make such a cover easier to handle. To this end, an intermediate section (46, 48), disposed in the longitudinal direction (16) between an end section (38, 40) forming the second end (34) and the first open end (32), is turned inwards into the tubular section (36) in such a manner that the table (2) or the extremity can be inserted in the opening (49, 86) formed by the intermediate section (46, 48) turned inward and that, when the cover (30) is put on the table (2) or the extremity, the intermediate section (46, 48) turned inward can be unfolded when the table (2) or the extremity rests against the second end (34) during putting on the cover.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A surgical drape consisting of one part, wherein the surgical drape comprises at least one trouser leg or sleeve, and wherein the at least one trouser leg or sleeve is folded up in such a way that one end of the trouser leg or sleeve is inside the other, such that the trouser leg or sleeve can be slid off over the limb of the patient by pulling on the end of the trouser leg or sleeve.
Abstract:
A fluid containment pouch is provided that includes a first layer of material having a first thermal characteristic and a second layer of material having a second thermal characteristic. The first layer of material is thermally compatible with a patient covering upon which it is to be thermally bonded. Thermal bonds between the fluid containment pouch and the patient covering form fluid containment channels that retain expelled body fluids during a patient's operation to help maintain a sterile operating environment.
