Abstract:
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems and methods for mapping and/or measuring a mechanical property of a medium. The mechanical property can be measured by Brillouin spectroscopy. The systems and methods can include a three-dimensional imaging modality that is co-registered with a Brillouin probe beam of a Brillouin spectrometer. The three- dimensional imaging modality can be optical coherence tomography or Scheimpflug camera imaging.
Abstract:
Ophthalmic lens assemblies and methods of assembly and use may include a lens assembly including a lens element and a protective cover. The lens element (200) includes a contact lens surface (202) and a faceted optical body (204) including a distal portion (208) and a faceted portion (206) including one or more mirror facets to form a TIR activity pathway. The protective cover (300) includes a contact aperture (302) shaped to receive the contact lens surface, a grip portion (304), and a facet housing portion (306) including an interior surface. The contact aperture of the protective cover is stretch-fit about a periphery of the contact lens surface to maintain a proximal-side fluid seal. The grip portion of the protective cover is stretch-fit about the distal portion of the lens element to maintain a distal-side fluid seal. One or more TIR-inducing air gaps (404) are defined by the facet housing portion (306) between the interior surface (308) and the mirror facets (210).
Abstract:
A probe for iridocorneal angle imaging of an eye, the probe comprising: a distal end having a corneal contact surface; a camera having an imaging lens at the distal end and an imaging axis orthogonal to the corneal contact surface; and at least two illumination sources, each illumination source having an illumination axis at an angle to the corneal contact surface such that the imaging axis and the illumination axes converge in the eye.
Abstract:
A method of prescribing eyewear for an individual. The method includes determining a relative retinal illuminance level for the individual and selecting, on a basis of the determined retinal illuminance level, a light transmission characteristic for eyewear lenses for the individual. At least one refractive parameter of the individual's eye is measured in order to determine the individual's retinal illuminance level.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for eye tracking for motion corrected ophthalmic optical coherence tomography (OCT) are disclosed. According to an aspect, an imaging system includes an eye tracking device configured to determine movement of an eye. The imaging system also includes an OCT apparatus configured to generate OCT images of a retina of the eye. The OCT apparatus includes a scanner operable to be moved for relocating an OCT scan pivot at a pupil plane for image capture and during capture of the OCT images. The imaging system also includes a controller configured to control the scanner to relocate the OCT scan pivot at the pupil plane based on the determined movement of the eye.
Abstract:
The present application discloses methods and systems to track the anterior segment while establishing a position of the delay which will permit good control of the placement of anterior segment structures. This allows accurate dewarping by maximizing the amount of corneal surface that is imaged as well as reducing or eliminating overlap between real and complex conjugate images present in frequency-domain optical coherence tomography. A method to dewarp surfaces given partial corneal surface information is also disclosed.
