The outlet defines a flow channel for the liquid nutritional product to leave the product space and, in a storage condition, the flow channel is directed at least partially downwards in a direction away from the cover and towards the base. For administration, the outlet region is deformable to an administration position where the flow channel is directed sideways in a direction parallel to the base.

The invention relates to a preform for producing a container for holding fluids used in medical applications, in particular for holding infusions or enteral nutrient solutions. The invention also relates to a method for producing containers of this type and to a container of this type. The preform according to the invention, having a neck (1) with an opening (1A), a wall (2) and a base (3), is characterised in that one end of a first sub-section (4A) and one end of a second sub-section (4B) of an annular hanger for hanging up the container are integrally moulded on the underside of the base (3) and the free ends of the first and second sub-sections can be interconnected to form the annular hanger by the deformation of the sub-sections. The preform is produced in a first step, in which the free ends of the two sub-sections are not yet interconnected. The container is then formed from the preform by stretching and blow moulding. The preform is preferably produced in an injection moulding process. The definitive factor is that during the injection moulding process, the two sub-sections of the annular hanger are not yet interconnected, thus simplifying the injection moulding process for producing the preform.
