Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic composition, for caring for and/or making up keratin materials, comprising: - particles of at least one polymer surface-stabilized with a stabilizer, - at least one volatile hydrocarbon-based oil, - at least one hydrophobic film-forming polymer, - at least one aqueous phase, and - at least one surfactant chosen from esters of polyhydroxylated fatty acid and of polyoxyalkylene glycol.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are oral care compositions comprising at least one phosphate/acrylate copolymer, at least one cationic antibacterial agent, at least one synthetic anionic linear polycarboxylate polymer, at least one surfactant, and zinc lactate. Also disclosed herein are methods for the treatment and/or inhibition of gum disease or halitosis comprising contacting the oral cavity with the oral care compositions disclosed herein, as well as methods of making the oral care compositions disclose herein.
Abstract:
A two-part cosmetic composition for changing color of keratinic fibers comprises (a) a gel-like composition containing optionally an oxidative dye precursor, and a thickener selected from the group consisting of xanthan gum, anionic amphiphilic polymer, and combination thereof, and (b) an oxidizing composition containing an oxidizing agent, and a thickener consisting of one or more anionic amphiphilic polymers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to compositions and methods of using them to treat keratin fibers. More particularly, the compositions according to the invention, such as mascaras and other cosmetics, comprise gelling agents and soft waxes, and are useful for imparting moldability to treated keratin fibers.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to compositions, films, and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. Compositions comprise at least one thermoplastic elastomer, at least one adhesive polymer, and at least one filler. Methods comprise applying the compositions to the skin to tighten the skin or hide skin imperfections, by forming a film on the skin.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hair care composition comprising: a cationic surfactant system comprising a mono-long alkyl cationic surfactant and a di-long alkyl cationic surfactant; a silicone compound having an amine or a quaternary ammonium group, and an alkylene oxide group; and further comprising a metal salt other than metal pyrithione. The compositions of the present invention provide improved deposition of the metal salts on scalp.
Abstract:
Water-soluble supramolecular complexes formed from a water soluble block copolymer and at least one associative gelling adjuvant. The copolymer includes at least two blocks of polyethylene oxide and at least one block of polypropylene oxide. The adjuvant has a water solubility less than 0.5 g/100ml at 20 °C. When combined with water, the complexes form a transparent reversely thermo-reversible hydrogel or solution that may be repeatedly hydrated and dehydrated. The hydrogel exhibits improved gelling efficiency and enhanced solubility and/or stability for sparely soluble and insoluble pharmaceutical agents. The complexes are useful in a variety of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and applications and may be combined with an effective amount of a cosmetic, medicament, or diagnostic in a solid dosage form.
