More specifically, provided is a custom cover for a figure comprising a heat-shrinkable, generally transparent, sheet sized and shaped for covering a figure, and the sheet receptive to ink and paint for decorating the figure. Also provided herein is a method for customizing a figure comprising decorating a custom cover, the custom cover being generally transparent and colorable, positioning the custom cover around the figure, and heat shrinking the custom cover to the figure to attach the cover to the figure. Further, provided herein is a kit for customizing a figure comprising a figure, a custom cover sized and shaped for covering the figure, the custom cover being colorable, a coloring agent for coloring the custom cover, and a tool for applying the coloring agent to the custom cover.

Abstract:
An interactive toy is described that provides a physical representation of an avatar created by a user within a virtual or on-line gaming environment. The interactive toy comprises a unique identifier tag and an electrical circuit the electrical circuit comprising, an identifier tag sensor and an interface that provides a means for the toy to communicate with a computer system. The inclusion of the unique identifier tag allows for a portable toy to be produced that can act as both an identifier and a scanner and so provides for increased interaction within the real world for the users of the interactive toys. As a result such toys are able to record physical meetings that can be reflected as befriending events in the corresponding virtual on-line world.

A video toy is provided which may include a video screen and first and second housing segments. Each housing segment may have a diorama displaying features and objects to simulate a scene such as an apartment or room. The video screen may move from a position in front of a first diorama to a position in front of a second diorama. The diorama behind the video screen may be visible through the screen. The video toy may be programmed to display characters on the screen that engage in activities consistent with the diorama visible through the video display and simulate interacting with objects in the diorama. Players may interact with the characters through inputs such as buttons. Virtual characters may be programmed to have activities and interactions with the player that are modified based on type and frequency of user inputs.

Abstract:
The invention provides a method for making a hollow doll's head (10) by injection molding a thermoplastic elastomer around a removable mold core (26). The major dimension of the mold core (26) is larger than the opening in the doll's head (10) through which the core (26) is to be removed after the injection molding is complete. For large mold cores and relatively small openings, the invention provides a multiple piece core section which is designed to be removed piece by piece through the opening in the doll's head (10) and then reassembled for reuse.
