Abstract:
A hand puppet of the type configured to represent a real animal. The preferred embodiment described herein is of that of a dog. The hand puppet described herein can also be a duck or a monkey. The hand puppet contains a series of electronic components, which includes a pair of accelerometers, a speaker, a main circuit board, a power source and a plurality sensors, which allows to the hand puppet to detect nearby objects and to detect pressure applied by the mouth portion of the puppet. The hand puppet can be manipulated using a hand to synthesize over 25 sounds in real-time. Each sound generated by the hand puppet is distinct depending on the activity being simulated with the hand puppet. Each sound that is generated by the hand puppet is unique. The hand puppet discussed herein will appear to have a personality of its own and will feel alive in the user's hand.
Abstract:
A toy for children comprising a thimble fitted to the thumb of the player with a shaped figure of a warrior on top of the thimble, enabling a method of new game. The game is played by two opponent players, each player places a thimble with a warrior on his thumb, both player holding their hands with the rest of the fingers so the thumb with the warrior is free to contest the other opponent warrior. The purpose of the game is to bring down the opponents' warriors and gaining the higher score. The game includes a serial of different warriors attached to a thimble, each warrior has a different score. The player chooses his warriors according to the theme they represent for him and according to the warrior score, the higher the score of the warrior, the higher possibility to gain a higher score and win the game.
Abstract:
A video toy is provided which may include a video screen and first and second housing segments. Each housing segment may have a diorama displaying features and objects to simulate a scene such as an apartment or room. The video screen may move from a position in front of a first diorama to a position in front of a second diorama. The diorama behind the video screen may be visible through the screen. The video toy may be programmed to display characters on the screen that engage in activities consistent with the diorama visible through the video display and simulate interacting with objects in the diorama. Players may interact with the characters through inputs such as buttons. Virtual characters may be programmed to have activities and interactions with the player that are modified based on type and frequency of user inputs.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a marionette (1 ) comprising a figure (3) having a number of segments, wherein at least two segments (31, 33, 35, 37) are connected by means of steering strings (41, 43, 45, 47) with a control (2) device and at least two segments are substantially rigid. In order to provide a marionette of improved accuracy of representation of the figure with regard to the real object, that would also feature relatively simple construction and would be easier to operate, a connection between at least one active segment (31, 33, 35, 37), which is connected with the control device (2) by means of the steering string (41, 43, 45, 47) exiting the surface of this segment at the steering point (411, 431, 451, 471 ), and an adjacent segment comprises a convex contact surface (71, 731, 75) on one of these segments and a connection means (5, 81 ) exiting the surfaces of these segments at the connecting points (51, 521, 522, 531, 532, 55) which are displaceable with regard to each other. Furthermore a centroid (711, 7311, 751 ) of said convex contact surface (71, 731, 75) is located below the connecting point (51, 531, 55) of the segment comprising this convex contact surface (71, 731, 75), and in the predefined free overhang position of the figure (3) a straight line (312, 3321, 3322, 352) between the connecting point (51, 531, 532, 55) of said active segment (31, 33, 35) and the steering point (411, 431, 451 ) of this segment extends above the gravity centre (311, 331, 351 ) of this segment.

Abstract:
A system for providing a three-dimensional virtual or fantasy environment comprises a viewing device having anaglyph lenses to provide a three-dimensional viewing effect. The viewing device can be a pair of eyeglasses having anaglyph lenses. The system includes a backdrop that may include a support for attaching to a desired structure such as a wall, floor and/or ceiling. The backdrop has themed or scenic artistry from two or more colors superimposed and offset to provide a desired depth effect The backdrop has a central image with a perceived depth different from a surrounding environment. The backdrop can include a light source to provide further visual enhancement for play. The backdrop may be a two- dimensional image on paper, plastic, fabric, or other suitable material. Multiple viewing devices can be provided to permit play by multiple uses at once.
Abstract:
The devices disclosed have the task of picking up or collecting items to be picked up. The special characteristics of the design also allow the use for other tasks, such as a hand toy.
