Zur optimierten Verarbeitung von Rühr- oder Dispergiergut, insbesondere von Tabletten und/oder Medikamentenkapseln, werden die Rühr- oder Dispergiervorrichtung (1) sowie die Rühr- oder Dispergieranordnung (36) mit einer derartigen Vorrichtung vorgeschlagen. Dabei ist vorgesehen, dass die Rühr- oder Dispergiervorrichtung (1) in ihrem Mischraum (3) einen motorisch angetriebenen Rotor (4) aufweist, der wenigstens einen von dem Boden (7) des Mischraums (3) nach oben abgewinkelten oder abgebogenen Schneidvorsprung (8) mit zumindest einer Schneide (10) aufweist. An der die Rotationsachse (R) umgebenden Innenumfangswandung (11) des Mischraums (3) ist ferner wenigstens ein Strömungsbrecher (12) derart vorgesehen, dass dieser einen sich von seinem ersten, dem Boden (7) zugewandten Ende (12) hin zu seinem zweiten, dem ersten Ende (12) gegenüberliegendem Ende (13) verjüngende Gestalt hat. Ferner ist zwischen der Innenumfangswandung (11) und dem Boden (7) des Mischraums (3) die Umlenkfläche (15) zum Umlenken von zu verarbeitendem Rühr- oder Dispergiergut und/oder Flüssigkeit in Richtung des Rotors (4) vorgesehen. Der wenigstens eine Strömungsbrecher (12) ist dabei sowohl zu dem Boden (7) des Mischraums (3) als auch zu dem wenigstens einem Schneidvorsprung (8) und zu der Kreisbahn (16), auf der der wenigstens eine Schneidvorsprung (8) um die Rotationsachse (R) bewegbar ist, beabstandet (vgl. A process for the recovery of gold from a gold-bearing aqueous filtrate, the process comprising the steps of: (A) Contacting the aqueous filtrate with dibutyl carbitol (DBC) in a two-stage solvent extraction process to remove the gold from the aqueous filtrate into the DBC to form a gold-loaded DBC; and (D) Contacting the gold-loaded DBC with an aqueous acid scrub of hydrochloric acid in a four-stage countercurrent scrub process to remove impurities, e.g., non-gold metal, from the DBC into the aqueous scrub solution to form an impurity-loaded aqueous scrub. Each stage of the solvent extraction circuit and the aqueous acid scrub circuit is equipped with a mixing assembly and a phase separation tank in a head-tail arrangement such that the mixing assembly of one stage is adjacent to the phase separation tank of the adjacent stage.

In this process, the mixing intensity is reduced stepwise, resulting in lower entrainment of the extractable component in the fluid and faster separation of the phases.

A continuous dynamic mixing assembly includes a mixing chamber having an interior wall which is generally symmetrical about a central longitudinal axis. Flowable material is mixed in the mixing chamber. At least one inlet introduces the flowable material into the mixing chamber. At least one outlet discharges mixed flowable material from the mixing chamber. Axial baffles are connected to and extend along the interior wall for disrupting substantially circumferential material flow in the mixing chamber. Transverse baffles are connected to and extend from the interior wall transverse to the axis along a major dimension of the transverse baffles. A rotatable agitator includes agitator baffles extending transverse to the axis in alignment with respective transverse baffles, which forms gaps between the agitator baffles and the respective transverse baffles. The transverse baffles and the agitator baffles disrupt substantially axial fluid flow inside the mixing chamber while forcing the material through the gaps. Also featured is a method in which the mixing assembly is used.
