Abstract:
A paint supply method supplies a paint into a paint cartridge (10) by using a filling valve (1) that has: a paint supply channel (3) that is linkable in communication with a supply portion (11) provided for supplying the paint into the paint cartridge (10); a branch channel (6) that branches from the paint supply channel (3) near a site of linkage in communication between the supply portion (11) and the paint supply channel (3); and a trigger valve (9) as an open-close valve of the paint supply channel (3) which is disposed in the paint supply channel (3) upstream of the site of linkage in communication. After a filling liquid (52) is filled into the branch channel (6), the trigger valve (open-close valve) (9) is opened, and the paint is supplied into the paint cartridge (10) via the paint supply channel (3).
Abstract:
A canister (12) for a coating applicator system has a flexible barrier (82) separating a coating-containing region in the canister (12) from a region containing a force applicator for moving the barrier (82) to dispense the coating. While the volumes of each region change upon movement of the barrier (12), surfaces defining the regions remain in that region.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns painting installations comprising painting machines or robots (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b), each with a sprayer (12) and a paint reservoir (13), associated with the sprayer and designed to supply it, the machines or robots being arranged along a painting line for motor vehicle bodies (2). Each machine or robot is provided with a fluidic connector, designed to co-operate discontinuously with a dispensing system (14a, 14b, 15a, 15b) comprising a colour shade-changing unit. Each dispensing system (14a, 14b, 15a, 15b) is arranged between two consecutive machines (6a, 7a; 6b, 7b; 8a, 9a; 8b, 9b), and is common to those two machines, which are successively connected thereto to fill their respective reservoirs each time there is a colour shade change.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for transporting electroconductive lacquer from a location situated on earth potential to at least one lacquer applying device (4) which is situated on high potential. The respectively required amount of given lacquer is filled into a cartridge (7) at the location that is situated on earth potential and serves as charging station (2). The cartridge (7) that is filled with lacquer is transported through a first transport device (51)and to a second transport device (53) which often also transports work pieces (61). In this case, the cartridges (7) are allocated to the work pieces (61). The filled cartridge (7) is transported to the at least one lacquer applying device (4) through the second transport device (53). The cartridge (7) is connected to the at least one spraying head (41) which is fixed to the lacquer applying device (4). The entirely or partially emptied cartridge (7) is transported to a third transport device (55) through the second transport device (53). The third transport device (55) transports the cartridge (7) back to the charging station (2) where at least one additional cartridge (7) is filled and is transported through the first transport system (51) in the meantime.
Abstract:
When it is desired to change a cartridge (25) with respect to a painting device (11), this is done by removing a filled cartridge (25) of next color from a paint filling device (55a-55n) by one gripper (101) of a cartridge gripping device (100). With the filled cartridge (25) held by one gripper (101), a used cartridge (25) is gripped and removed from the painting device (11) by the other gripper (102). Further, the filled cartridge (25) held by one gripper (101) is attached to the painting device (11) and the empty cartridge (25) is returned to the paint filling device (55a-55n) by the other gripper (102). This makes it possible to simplify the changing operation of cartridges (25).
Abstract:
A coating method capable of applying paints of many colors interchangeably by providing detachably a paint cartridge (35) for each color to a rotary atomizing head type coating device (21) used for the painting method, comparing a paint cartridge attaching step for attaching the paint cartridge (35) to a housing (22), a painting step for supplying paint in the cartridge (35) to a rotary atomizing head (30), a paint cartridge removing step for removing a used cartridge (35) from the housing (22), and a cleaning step for supplying a cleaning liquid to the front of the atomizing head (30) by means of an atomizing head cleaning device (57) and cleaning the previous color paint attached to the head (30). Therefore, the next color paint can be applied by simply changing, after cleaning the head (30) from the front side thereof, a paint cartridge (35) when a paint color is to be changed.
Abstract:
In a device for automatic spray application of paint through a spray nozzle a unit providing paint is arranged to be connected to the nozzle (2) during the application for providing this with paint, and this unit is formed by a paint container (5) adapted to be arranged close to the spray nozzle. The device has members adapted to receive and hold the container close to the spray nozzle detachably and removably from the device for exchange thereof against such containers when there is a desire of more paint in the container and/or paint change.
