The lubrication system (150) includes a drive fluid valve member (156; 224) and a detune valve member (166; 260). The drive fluid valve member (156; 224) is movable from a first to a second position in response to drive fluid pressure to reduce the volume of a variable volume lubricant charge chamber (230). The detune valve member (166; 260) is movable from a first to a second position in response to lubricant pressure within the lubricant charge chamber (230), and is adapted to permit fluid communication between inlet and fluid bypass passages (146, 164) in its first position and to disengage the fluid connection in its second position.

A valve device (V, 4') for controlling the movement in a machine housing (2) of a reciprocating percussion piston (3) of a percussion device (1) for a rock drilling machine with a first chamber (5) that can be pressurized for forward driving of the percussion piston (3) and a second chamber (8) that can be pressurized for back-driving of the percussion piston (3) , wherein the valve device includes a to and fro movable valve element (20) , the movement of which being controlled as a response to the position of a valve portion (V) of the percussion piston in a valve housing portion by periodically pressurising a signal chamber (21) actuating the movement of the valve element over signal conduit means (22, 23, 24) . Said signal conduit means includes at least two signal conduit portions (23, 24) , which are arranged for essentially simultaneous pressurising through co-operation between a corresponding number of valve control edges (25, 26) on the valve portion of the percussion piston and edges (34, 35) of control chambers in the machine housing. The invention also concerns a percussion device and a rock drilling machine.

The present invention relates to a system for preventing an idle blow and adjusting hitting power of a breaker, which can set an idle blow-preventive direction converting unit by rotating the direction converting unit in a desired direction and adjust the hitting power of the breaker that is provided on the outer side of a cylinder of a hydraulic breaker which is a hydraulic hitting apparatus. Thus, the invention is capable of smoothly carrying out strong and weak hitting operations and disabling an idle blow of a hitting rod that is operated by a piston and the cylinder of the breaker through a hitting adjustment valve connected with the direction converting unit.

Distribution valve (7) for controlling hydraulic flows to different consumers, wherein the distribution valve includes a to and fro movable valve body (8). The valve body (8) includes a central bore hole (38, 39) extending in axial direction which cooperates with a plunger (35) and drives the valve body (8) in a pressurize state. The plunger includes an outer piston portion (36) having reduced diameter (d), which in an end position region of the valve body is arranged, together with a portion (38) of the bore hole having reduced diameter (d), to establish a damping chamber (40) for end position damping of the valve body (8). The invention also relates to a rock drilling machine.

A percussion device comprising a casing (1) with a movable striker (2) connected with an actuating cylinder (6) in which is mounted a shank (4) of the striker (2) provided with a clamping mechanism (14) and with an actuator consisting of a hydraulic cylinder (8). The device is provided with a control unit having a valve element (18) for controlling a distributor (19). The element (18) has a casing (22) and a valve (23) able to occupy in the casing (22) two positions and forming two chambers (25, 26) interconnected through a throttle means (24). The chamber (25) is permanently connected to a discharge main (21) whereas the chamber (26) is periodically connected to the cavity of the hydraulic cylinder (8). The valve (23) is spring-loaded in relation to the casing (22) on the side of the chamber (25) thereby occupying its initial position.
