An automotive wheel assembly that has a smooth, flush or continuous, transition surface between an outer wheel barrel and an inner wheel barrel, to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the automotive wheel is fabricated by a modification to the wheel design, construction, assembly and/or finishing process to impart a uniform aesthetic appearance throughout the inner and outer barrels of the wheel and a seamless transition, or "endless lip effect," between the inner and outer barrels of the wheel. Various embodiments of the design incorporate one-piece, two-piece and three-piece automotive wheel assemblies.

A wheel construction (10) includes a wheel rim (12) which in use, receives a tyre (13), the rim (12) being circular and having axially inner and outer portions (19, 20) each of which provides a flange (24) which in use provides a seat for a bead (26) of the tyre (23), and the wheel construction (10) including a mid-portion (29) between the inner and outer portions (19, 20), and side parts (30), connecting the mid (29) and outer portions (19, 20), the mid-portion (29) including a circumferential well (28) where the radius of the wheel rim (12) is a minimum, at least one of the side parts (230) including a plurality of curved regions (38, 39), the plurality of curved regions (38, 39) each being immediately adjacent to each other whereby the side part (30) is continuously undulate. Each curved region (38, 39) provides at least a further two circumferential wells (40, 41). For each adjacent two curved regions, there is an effective angle between a plane normal to the axis of the wheel and a line struck tangentially at a point of inflection between the two curved regions at a tyre side of the rim, of between 25° and 45°.

L'invention concerne une jante pour cycle, plus particulièrement pour bicyclette. L'invention vise également un ensemble monté tubeless constitué de ladite jante et d'un pneumatique comportant notamment deux tringles souples. Selon l'invention, la jante est constituée de deux ailes (2,3), accolées à deux sièges (5,6), destinés à recevoir le bourrelets d'un pneumatique, séparés l'un de l'autre par une gorge de montage (4), et selon le profil de la jante dans un plan radial, les sièges des bourrelets ont une génératrice dont l'extrémité axialement extérieure est sur un cercle de diamètre inférieur au diamètre du cercle sur lequel se trouve l'extrémité axialement intérieure, ladite génératrice formant un angle avec l'axe de rotation du pneumatique compris entre 15 et 45 degrés.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Radfelge, insbesondere Speichenradfelge für Kraftfahrzeuge aus Stahlblech, die aus verschiedenen Teilen gefügt ist, und zwar aus einem inneren Anschraubflansch (1b), einem mittleren Felgenring (1a) und einem äußeren Felgenbett (3, 4, 5). Der Felgenring (1a) und der Anschraubflansch (1b) bilden eine innere Tragschale (1) für die Haupttraglast der Radfelge. Diese Tragschale (1) ist unter Bildung eines Hohlraums (7) von einer äußeren Designschale (2) aus Stahlblech abgedeckt, die mit dem Anschraubflansch (1b) und dem Felgenhorn (3) fest verbunden ist und für eine Hilfstraglast ausgelegt ist.

A vehicle wheel for preventing defective assembling, slipping, misaligned rim and damages caused by these inconveniences, wherein a rim (8), to mount thereon a tire base (1) provided with a tread rubber layer (4) and a bead core (6)-arranged base rubber layer (2), is provided on one side face side thereof with a rim flange (10) and on the other side face side thereof with a recess (16), and the tire base (1) is provided with a protrusion (20) to be fitted to the recess (16). A height D of the base rubber layer (2) is set to be 20-70% of a tire height H. The base rubber layer (2) has a tensile stress of 1.5-5 MPa at 10% elongation in JIS-K6251: Dumbbell type NO. 1 shape for vulcanized rubber tension test method, and a hardness of A70-100 deg. in JIS-K6253: Type A durometer hardness test.
