Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns a wheel (1), having first and second outward sloping seats (13) and a cylindrical wall designed to support a support ring, consisting of an assembly: of a disc (21) comprising a hub bearing, a transition zone and a radially outer edge whereof the geometry forms the first seat and a first part of the cylindrical wall; and of a rim (30) including a plurality of cavities and so designed that its radially outer wall corresponds to a second seat and to the matching part of the cylindrical wall; the assembly being produced at the end of the rim on the side of the disc at the cylindrical wall and at the end of the radially inner wall of the rim.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a tyre (101) comprising at least a first bead, whereof the seat has a generatrix the axially inner end of which is on the circle with diameter greater than the diameter of the circle whereon is located the axially outer end, and a radial carcass reinforcement (112) wound in each bead around at least an element reinforcing the tyre bead (105), starting from inside outwards to form a turn-up, the meridian profile of the carcass reinforcement, when the tyre is mounted on its service rim (102) and inflated at recommended pressure, has a constant curvature direction in the first bead and a sidewall extending it radially, and has a tangent TT' at the point of tangency T of said profile with an annular element (105) of said first bead forming with the axis of rotation an angle phi open outwards and greater than 45 DEG . Said tyre is characterised in that, viewed in meridian cross-section, at least the sidewall (107) extending the first bead comprises a reinforcing profiled section (114) having, viewed in cross-section, substantially a crescent shape; one of the surfaces inner or outer of the profiled section (114) matches the profile of the carcass reinforcement ; the trace of the surface of the profiled section on the side opposite the surface of said profiled section nearest to the carcass reinforcement has only one curvature direction.
Abstract:
A tire rim (1) has a 5 DEG bead seat (3) while an inclined surface (8) nearest to the outboard flange of the rim and extending between the wheel well (4) and a bead hump (5, 6) the inclined surface has a maximum inclination alpha of less than 65 DEG , preferably in the range of 58 DEG to 62 DEG .
Abstract:
A tyre in which the casing reinforcement (1), seen in meridian cross-section, is wound in each bead (B) around a wire (2) coated with a rubber-like mixture from the bead seat towards the tip of said bead (B), a turn-up (10) being arranged in a wedge-shaped section (3) made of the rubber-like mixture and defined by two sides (31, 32) extending from an apex (A) located under the coated wire section (2). The tyre may be combined with various wheel rims (J) to form assemblies having a good performance when tyre pressure is low or zero, and also enables easy fitting of tyres and optionally tread support pads (S) onto the wheel rims (J).
