Abstract:
The stroller includes a frame having at least one front leg, at least one rear leg, and at least one wheel mounted on each leg. The frame defines front and rear portions and right and left sides. The stroller also includes a seat having a seat base and a seat back pivotally mounted to the frame. The seat back has a front surface, a rear surface, a top portion and a bottom portion and is rotatable relative to the frame between at least one substantially upright or reclined back support position and a travel seat support position wherein the top portion of the seat back extends towards the front portion of the frame and is capable of supporting a travel seat thereon.
Abstract:
A car seating unit adapted comprising integrated extendable wheels such that the unit can be removed from a vehicle and reconfigured to a wheeled configuration and utilized as a stroller.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transporting a child safety seat includes a wheeled assembly that may be clamped to the child safety seat. The wheeled assembly includes a plate member having a longitudinal axis on either side of which are formed one or more through holes. Clamping can be achieved by the use of threaded fasteners which pass through the through holes and are secured to a clamping mechanism that helps frictionally secure the plate member to the child safety seat. Suitable clamping mechanisms for this purpose may include a strap that passes through a passageway formed in the rear of the child safety seat, a clamping bracket having laterally extending arms that abut clampingly abut openings formed in the back of the child safety seat, and an structural elbow member integrally connected to the child safety seat against which a clamping force may be applied. The apparatus with attached child safety seat may be wheeled on the ground by a person using one hand. Furthermore, the apparatus is fully detachable from the child safety seat.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat assembly (10; 110) includes a passenger seat having a passenger seat member (26) and a passenger seat back (12), and a child seat assembly (72) having a seating part (74) and a back rest part (76). The child seat assembly 72) provides first and second alternative child seat configurations. In one embodiment, the seat assembly (110) includes a passenger seat member (26) which is movable between a first position in which the child seat assembly (72) is substantially hidden from view and a second position in which the child seat assembly (72) is exposed to enable the first child seat configuration to be unfolded to seat a child passenger. The child seat assembly (72) may be mounted so that it can be removed completely from the assembly (110). In another embodiment, the passenger seat member (26) is movable between a first position in which a seating surface is defined for an adult passenger, and a second position in which, for example, a reverse side of the seat member (26) defines a back rest surface for a child passenger.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multi-purpose foldable carrier comprising: front and rear support stems to which front and rear wheels are coupled; front and rear support posts coupled to the front and rear support stems such that the front and rear support stems can move pivotally; front and rear support bars connecting the front hinge units and the rear hinge units; U-shaped handle of which height is controllable; handle support posts coupled with both ends of the handle; joint hinge units for pivotally coupling the handle support posts and the rear support posts; armrests installed extending from ends of the front support posts to ends of the rear support posts; and a seat including a backrest coupled with the handle support posts and a pedestal of which one side is coupled to pedestal support bars and the other side is coupled to the backrest.
Abstract:
A mobile children's seat having a wheel or set of wheels about a fulcrum point and a handle for tipping said mobile children's seat about the fulcrum point to transport a child in the mobile children's seat. The mobile children's seat for securing a child in a protective position in a vehicle and providing mobility without the need for additional components.
Abstract:
An infant restraint (10) convertible between a safety car seat configuration and a cart-like infant carrier. The infant restraint (10) comprises a seat shell (16), a handle (20) mounted to the shell (16) for movement between retracted and extended positions, and only one set of wheels (22) mounted to the shell (16) for movement as a single unit between an idle car seat position to a ground engaging position. The wheels (22) are positioned so as to permit movement thereof between the idle car seat position and the ground engaging position while the seat shell (16) still rests on a support surface. The handle (20) cooperates with the wheels (22) to allow rolling transportation of the infant restraint (10) when the handle (20) and the wheels (22) are in their respective extended and ground engaging positions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a child safety seat for vehicles and aircraft comprising a seat part and a back part which are interconnected by an intermediate part and define an angular seat-back surface toward the occupied front side. The inventive child safety seat which can be advantageously used for an aircraft or a motor vehicle alike and which is significantly safer is designed such that the intermediate part (12) permits a limited adjustment of the seat part (10) and the back part (11) into an extended lying position (30).
Abstract:
A convertible carriage (60) including a superstructure (62) with a seat for carrying a person to be transported, and a number of wheels (71, 74, 108). The wheels are rollably supported by wheel support structure (68, 70, 80, 82) which is movably interconnected with the superstructure. The superstructure is rollably transportable when the wheel support structure and wheels are in an extended position. The carriage further includes a device (76, 78) for relocating the wheels concurrently between the extended position and a retracted position in the superstructure.
