Abstract:
The present invention is directed to novel transportable silo systems for storage of materials. The invention relates to self-erecting silo storage systems for use in the oil and natural gas mining and drilling industries. The silo storage systems of embodiments of the instant invention are uniquely designed to improve storage capabilities and mobility while at the same time reducing space requirements at well sites.
Abstract:
To manage waste at a construction sites or the like, a steel skip (2) is provided with a liner (10) sized and configured to correspond to the internal dimensions of the skip. The liner having an open top, a closed bottom (15), and is provided with a plurality of straps (20) attached to and running beneath the bottom of the liner to strengthen the liner. Each strap terminates in a distal portion (21) incorporating an eye (22). The liner is lifted, when filled, on to a vehicle. The vehicle may be provided with a lifting rig mounted on the vehicle (28) and coacting with the eyes. A plurality of filled liners are transported on the vehicle to a waste treatment site.
Abstract:
A container loading apparatus for a truck (10) comprises a first pair of opposed container attachment arms (14) and a second pair of opposed secondary support arms (22), rotatable about horizontal axes from a stowed position in which the container attachment arms (14) and the secondary support arms (22) are disposed substantially beneath a loaded container, the secondary support arms (22) being rotatable relative to the truck (10) by first actuation rams (30) and the container attachment arms (14) rotatable relative to the secondary support arms (22) by second actuation rams (32).
Abstract:
To achieve easy loading and unloading, a trailer (1) for carrying at least one transport container (2) or the like, with a structure (3) comprising a chassis, in which the chassis comprises two longerons (4) and at least one cross-member interconnecting the longerons (4) and the chassis may have a base plate (5), is constructed in such a way that two bearers (6, 7) for loading and unloading the trailer (1) by means of a moving device can pivot at the rear of the structure (3) about an axis (8) roughly parallel to the cross-member and that the bearers (6, 7) can be fitted along the pivoting axis (8).
Abstract:
A lifting apparatus (50) has a support structure (62), a frame (64) pivotally connected to the support structure, an actuating means (74) connected to the frame so as to move the frame between a retracted position and an extended position, a lifting bar (78) pivotally connected to the frame, and a linkage (90) having one end pivotally connected to the support structure and an opposite end connected to the lifting bar (78). The lifting bar has a first strut (80) with one end pivotally to the frame, a second strut (82) with the one end pivotally affixed to the frame, and a cross member affixed adjacent to opposite ends of the first and second struts and extending thereacross. The linkage includes a first link (92) and a second link (94) each having fixed lengths.
Abstract:
A slurry handling and disposal system for waste slurry and particulates; said system including a waste bin; said waste " bin provided with support structures for retaining a flexible removable filter element; said filter element supported above a floor of said waste bin; the particulate matter component of a volume of said waste slurry and particulates deposited in said filter element substantially retained in said filter element; the liquid component of said waste slurry and particulates collected in a base portion of said waste bin.
Abstract:
A device for loading and unloading objects onto a truck including two support members and a rigid substantially L-shaped support. The support members and rigid substantially L-shaped member are subject to force from at least 3 actuators. The operation of actuators maintains the horizontal portion of the rigid L-shaped member in substantially horizontal orientation during the flexion and extension of the joints connecting the members, and the joint connecting the device to the truck.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heavy goods vehicle, specially for the transportation of slag, comprising a loading platform for vessels containing slag, fitted with a gripper device for receiving and moving a standardized load-bearing implement which can be actuated by a hydraulic cylinder (11) and an anti-tilt device (15) for the vehicle which operates during movement of said load-bearing implement. The vehicle is also fitted with at least one hydraulic cylinder (11) with switches. Upon a given stroke of the piston, at least one switch engages a device detecting hydraulic pressure inside the cylinder on one or both sides of the piston. The pressure detection device triggers a security device, e.g. a display for the driver or an operation blocking device.
Abstract:
A carrier for lifting and transporting a heavy ladle (11) including a tractor (15) and trailer (13) having a longitudinal center line (65) and a U-shaped frame (30) and a rearwardly opening rigid cradle (40) pivotally mounted on the frame (30) for embracing the ladle (11) and with notches (46) for engaging and lifting the ladle (11) by its trunnions (20) and provided with a hydraulic lift cylinder (60) for vertically pivoting the cradle with respect to the trailer frame (30) wherein the cradle pivot mountings (50) include hydraulic shift actuators (53) aligned parallel with respect to the cradle front cross frame (41) to shift the entire cradle (40) laterally with respect to the trailer center line (65) and the hydraulic lift cylinders (60) are pivotally mounted to the trailer frame (30) and cradle arms (61) with ball connections (62) to permit the limited lateral tilting of the lift cylinders (60).
