Abstract:
A goods handling apparatus for a cargo storage and transport vehicle includes a movable cargo platform continuous with a portion of cargo enclosure floor, when the cargo platform is in an upper position. Cargo may be slid between the trailer floor and the cargo platform. A vertical actuator raises and lowers the cargo platform between the upper position and a lower position atop the ground or other vehicle support surface whereupon cargo may be slid between the cargo platform and the ground or other positions. The cargo platform is disposed substantially within the plan perimeter of the floor of the cargo module during raising and lowering. A modular system may be integrated into the cargo enclosure or may be incorporated into a modular, enclosure for appending to a cargo box of the prior art.
Abstract:
A rack for securing containers includes a plurality of bays into which one or more containers are received. The rack includes an upper section and a lower section defining a bay therebetween. The bay has a concave support surface for supporting an object. A plurality of columns connect the upper section to the lower section. The upper section and the lower section each include a plurality of complementary interlocking members aligned with the plurality of columns, such that the interlocking members on the upper section would interlock with the interlocking members on the lower section of a similar rack stacked thereon. Each bay may include a resilient member, such as an expandable clamp or a resilient bumper.
Abstract:
A vehicle provided with at least one front axis and at least one rear axis, one vehicle frame and at least one loading box or loading surface which can be raised or lowered in a vertical direction by means of lifting devices, in addition to a loading ramp located in the rear area of the vehicle. At least one loading box or loading surface is arranged behind the at least one rear axis such that it forms an inner loading ramp (9). At least one opening surface is arranged in a lateral (16) and rear position (20) on the vehicle frame and used to release loading openings for loading or emptying.
Abstract:
A handling system for delivery vehicles, whereby a hoist mechanism can be transported within and outside the cargo area of the vehicle by means of a movable framework. The framework includes an arm (26) which is cantileverable from both sides of the vehicle, and lateral guide rails (20) along which the arm can be moved within the cargo area. The entire handling system is powered by electric drives.
Abstract:
A keg delivery system includes a rack having a plurality of bays for receiving kegs horizontally. The keg delivery system also includes means for controllably lowering a keg from one of the bays to a floor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tube rotation preventive apparatus of a movable tube trailer for refueling compressed natural gas. When driving a trailer vehicle including a tube trailer, the present invention prevents rotation of a storage tube around a coupling portion with a tube fixation plate caused by factors such as vibration or impact of chassis, etc. Accordingly, the damage of manifolds and other attachments, which are respectively connected to each storage tube for storing and refueling compressed natural gas, as well as the damage of the tube fixation plate and displacement of the storage tube caused by vibration of the storage tube are prevented. Therefore, the stability is remarkably improved by preventing an accident that may occur when using a tube trailer.
Abstract:
A water-tub carrier equipped with a counterflow prevention material, enables a worker to easily load and unload a number of water tubs along a brief traffic line without interference among the tubs, thereby promoting economized, simplified, and automated physical distribution and highly saving the worker's labor during delivery. The water- tub carrier comprises a base frame horizontally mounted, a plurality of sidewall frames mounted vertically to the base frame and arranged forward and backward at intervals, thereby forming a receiving space therebetween to receive water tubs, and the counterflow prevention material mounted to the sidewall frames of the front side, directing each other in pairs, to be rotated by the water tub being pushed in the receiving space and then returned to the initial position, thereby preventing separation of the received water tub.
Abstract:
A confined space entry device has modularized components which allow the device to be readily reconfigured. In particular, the extension arm of the device is removably secured to one leg of an elbow, while a post or mast is removably secured to the other end of the elbow. The other end of the mast is removably secured to a base which supports the confined space entry device. In one version of the invention, the device includes tubular members made of a polymer composite material. In another version of the invention, the elbow is asymmetric about a central axis and is formed of cast aluminum. The device can include sets of different-length elongated members which can be interchanged with elongated members secured within the device. In yet another version of the invention, the device incorporates a safety line connected to a lower end of the davit assembly or member and extending to an upper end of the davit assembly or member. The safety line should have a tensile strength equal or greater than to the dynamic rating of the post; should the member break above the lower end, the safety line would arrest the fall of a worker or person secured to the confined space device.
Abstract:
A series of transport carts (21) are positioned in side by side relation in fore and aft extended spaced apart rows (R1, R2) disposed along a delivery van to leave an aisle between them. The carts (21) have wheel (29) supported upright frames with bottom supports (31) for the products disposed at a level above the floor of the van and open fronts with front decks (72) movable from a stowed retracted position to a generally horizontal operative position adjacent the bottom supports. The decks are movable into generally abutting relation to form a raised false floor between the rows of carts on which hand trucks can travel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for handling cylindrical objects. In the method according to the invention, on the sides of a cylinder (1) are set frames (2a) of substantially rectangular shape in connection with which there are elastic tensioning and carrier means (3). The tensioning means are arranged in relation to the cylinder such that, when tensioning them by a sufficient force, they pull the frames together. At the same time, the cylinder rises by means of the carrier means off its base. When further tensioning the tensioning means, the plates on the sides of the cylinder are closely tensioned against the housing of the cylinder, thus creating a non-rotatable unit. On the edges of the plates on the sides are arranged openings in which lifting means, such as lifting straps or truck forks, can be fitted.
