Abstract: A weldless aluminum pallet has slats that interlock with outside and inside stringers to form the pallet without need for permanent attachment points. Grooves in the stringers receive a projection on each slat, holding the slat in place. Preferably, a single projection extends along the length of the slat body. The projection is shaped to cooperate with the groove such that the slat attaches perpendicularly to the stringers. The groove is shaped to retain the slat's projection by friction fit, creating an interlocking joint. The front and rear slats on each face may be fastened to the stringers by screws or other removable fasteners. Pure aluminum or an aluminum alloy may be used, and the material may be tempered using known tempering techniques. The preferred material is 100% recycled 6005-T6 aluminum alloy. The parts are preferably extruded but alternatively may be molded or otherwise die cast.

Abstract: A product storage apparatus (10) or rack comprises a base (20) having a product placement portion (21) capable of receiving a product; means for clamping (42, 44, 46, 48) the product to the apparatus when the product is positioned on the apparatus; and, a linkage assembly (32, 35, 36, 38) that operates the clamping means, the linkage assembly (32, 35, 36, 38) optionally including a self-locking mechanism that locks the clamping means in a closed position, such that when the clamping means is in the closed position, force applied directly to the clamping means will not open the clamping means. A foot pedal (34) may operate the linkage assembly (32, 35, 36, 38). In one embodiment, the self-locking mechanism is an over-center mechanism. One or more product storage apparatuses (10) can be attached to, or incorporated into, a shipping rack (100). In the shipping rack (100), the linkage assembly of one master product storage apparatus or pod (131a) may control an adjacent linked, non-hub, or slave product storage apparatus (131b) via connecting linkage (140, 141).

Abstract: Disclosed is a strength reinforcing structure of a pallet for increasing bending strength and simultaneously decreasing weight. According to the present invention, the strength reinforcing structure of a pallet includes: frames formed in the shape of rectangular pipes and disposed for forming the frames of a pallet which is moved by a forklift after objects are stacked on the pallet; and reinforcement protrusions protruded to a predetermined height from one side surface of the frame, which has a section in a rectangular shape, and extended in the lengthwise direction for reinforcing the bending strength of the frame. The bending strength of the frame is increased by the reinforcement protrusions and the thickness of the frame may be decreased by the amount of the increase in bending strength. Therefore, it is possible to decrease the weight of the pallet.

Abstract: An array of stillages mounted on top of each other or one stillage is able to be disposed at an angle to another. The advantage of this arrangement is that space between adjacent stillages in an array can be adjusted to hold a range of different sized articles during transport. A further advantage is that once the articles have reached their destination, the array of stillages can be further adjusted to angle one platform relative to another. In this way articles, which have been transported can then be displayed professionally by reconfiguring the array of stillages after reaching a destination.
