Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a glazing having a first anchoring support being configured to engage with an electrical connector that is part of an electrically actuated device comprising at least one electrically actuated component and first and second electrical connectors that are connectable with an electrical power supply. Upon electrically connecting the first and second electrical connectors to the power supply, the electrically actuated component has electrical power supplied thereto and is in an energized state. When the first electrical connecter is engaged with the first anchoring support, the electrical device is releasably fixed to the glazing. Connecting the power supply to the first anchoring support and the second electrical connector causes the electrically actuated component to switch from an unenergized state to the energized state. Mounting arrangements and vehicle lights to be mounted to a component of the structure of a vehicle are also described.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns motor vehicle headlight systems and control methods, and in particular a method for controlling a headlight (15) of a motor vehicle (1), comprising the steps of determining whether the motor vehicle (1) is reversing, measuring a position of an obstacle (20) within a detection range of a rear end proximity sensor (10) of a set of proximity sensors (9, 10) of the motor vehicle (1), calculating a path of the obstacle (20) within detection range of the rear end proximity sensor (10) relatively to the reversing motor vehicle (1), determining whether said calculated path enters a predetermined range (21) of a front end corner of the motor vehicle (1), and if said calculated path crosses into said predetermined range (21) of a front end corner of the motor vehicle (1) activating a headlight side beam (22) associated with said front end corner.
Abstract:
A vehicle back-up alarm (1) in combination with a vehicle back-up light (6) in any of several embodiments. The first combination includes an alternative of light (6) adapted to be used with an existing vehicle alarm. Other embodiments comprise any combination of one or more of audible warning device (13), distance-sensing device, warning lights (6), video and/or audio systems, communications systems or other devices, lighting devices, and a standard housing (9) to contain them and mount to a vehicle without modification. Housing (9) includes mounting aids such as resilient grommets (11) or flanges with holes therein which are designed to match either a specific vehicle or a variety of vehicles, further includes housing (9) adapted for a vehicle trailer hitch receiver. The associated wiring harness is terminated with a standard connector (21) which allows the invention to be plugged into the existing vehicle wiring harness without modification, or a pigtail for splicing into the wiring harness.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a vehicle light, in particular a fog light or reversing light. The light has a chamber (10) which is covered over at the front by a transparent disc (14), an electric bulb (17) which projects into the light chamber (10) from the rear (12) and a parabolic reflector (33) which reflects light emitted by the bulb (17) towards the cover disc (14). Even if the light exit zone in front of the chamber (10) is small, high light values are achieved by virtue of the fact that the chamber (10) is larger in cross-section than the light exit zone in front of it and the bulb (17) is partly surrounded by a spherical reflector (34) which lies outside the light exit zone, which has its centre at least approximately coincident with the filament of the light bulb (17) and which reflects light emitted by the bulb (17) on to the parabolic reflector (33).
Abstract:
In order to allow vehicles to reverse more comfortably and safely on unlighted roads or places, a reversing light (2) is proposed to which a rearview mirror (1) is integrated. The rearview mirror and the reversing light are mounted on a common shank and can be oriented horizontally independently from one another.
Abstract:
A visual communication apparatus affixed to a vehicle. The visual communication apparatus includes a smart key system that detects a key fob of a user within a keyless detection zone, a projector projecting visual indications on a projecting zone lying on a ground surface of the vehicle, a sensor optically capturing gestures of the user of the vehicle, and an electrical control unit capable of actuated key elements of the vehicle. The visual indications include passive visual indications requiring no activation from the user and active visual indications requiring activations from the user. The activations are performed by gestures of the user on the active visual indications.
Abstract:
A vehicle safety device and system are disclosed. The device comprises an image projecting device and a vehicle communication device adapted to receive commands for the image projecting device. The image projecting device is adapted to project visible safety information.
