Abstract:
Abstract:
A liftgate cargo module having an integrated tailgate that unfolds from a hatch or liftgate of a vehicle that adds additional storage and provides a cargo load floor. When unfolded, there is an integrated pass through door formed in the hatch or liftgate permiting longer items to be hauled, while keeping the hatch or liftgate completely closed. The integrated tailgate includes an integrated tailgate taillight that indicates when the vehicle is braking or backing up. The integrated tailgate taillight also helps to show that the integrated tailgate is folded down from and extending from the hatch or liftgate of the vehicle. The integrated tailgate also includes integrated anchor points formed on the cargo load floor so items may be tied down and secured. An all-weather enclosure that is connectable to the cargo load floor for enclosing contents that are being hauled on the integrated tailgate may also be provided.
Abstract:
A ladder loading system (100) includes a base frame (120) and a stowage frame (130), wherein the stowage frame (130) is rotatable relative to the base frame (120). The stowage frame (130) and base frame (120) are connected at a least one pivot (102) having a main pivot axis. The ladder loading system includes a linkage mechanism (140). The linkage mechanism includes an idler link (142) that rotates about an idler axis (144). The linkage mechanism also includes a coupling means for coupling the idler link (142) to the stowage frame. That is, the rotation of the idler link (142) is linked to the rotation of the stowage frame in a master and slave relationship. Suitably, due to the operation of the ladder loading system, rotation of the stowage frame drives rotation of the idler link (142) about the idler axis (144). The linkage mechanism further includes a control member connected between the idler link (142) and stowage frame (130). Here, the control member is arranged so that rotation of the stowage frame causes the control member to expand and compress. The control member is arranged so that said expansion and compression exerts a controlling force on the rotation of the stowage frame.
Abstract:
The cargo rack assembly a support rack such as the roof rack of a vehicle to assist in the loading and unloading of cargo onto the support rack. The assembly includes load bars connected to base bars via a pivoting lever; the load bars include straps and load arms for securing cargo to the assembly. The base bars are affixed to the support rack and the load bars and pivoting levers transition between a secured position and a loading/unloading position in a smooth motion. The assembly may include a tensioning system for biasing the load bars to the secure position to aid the user in lifting the cargo.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a storage rack (10) that can onload, secure, and offload a human transporter device such as a SEGWAY HT. The storage rack is attached to a vehicle such as a postal vehicle. The vehicle can thus transport a human transporter while the human transporter is itself secured to the storage rack. The storage rack (10) includes a ramp (100). A human transporter can be loaded onto the storage rack under its own power by moving up the ramp, and the human transporter can be offloaded from the storage rack under its own power by moving down the ramp. The ramp is secured to the storage rack in an upright position when the carrying vehicle is in motion.
Abstract:
The device comprises at least two linear direction elements (20) responsive to at least two roof rack support elements (10) ; at least two mutually parallel cargo support elements that substantially surround one of the at least two linear direction elements and which are each responsive to and slidably moveable with respect to one of the at least two linear direction elements; at least two rotation elements such that one of the at least two linear direction elements and one of the at least two cargo support elements are rotationally responsive to the rotation elements; and at least one parallel retention element (65) such that at least one of said at least two cargo support lelments are responsive to the parallel retention element or elements.
Abstract:
A device (1) for lifting a load (2) from a lower level to a highet level consisting of a support structure (4) and at least one rotary lifting arm (5), and comprising a means (6) of joining this rotary arm (5) to the load (2) such that remains vertical throughout the lifting operation, also comprising at least one bar extending longitudinally (7), hinged at one end (7a) on the free end (5a) of the lifting arm (5) and fixed, in such a way that it can be removed, to the support structure (4), this bar (7) and the arm (5) having elements (10, 11) which are opposite when the load (2) is on the roof (3) and the bar (7) is fixed to the support structure (4), this locking the load (2) in position and preventing its removal.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an extendable vehicle rack arrangement (10) comprising a first and a second load carrier foot (3, 4) and comprising a stationary part (12) attached to said first and second load carrier foot (3, 4) and a displaceable part (11). The stationary part (12) is pivotally connected to at least one of the load carrier feet (3, 4). The extendable vehicle rack arrangement (10) is advantageously an extendable vehicle top rack arrangement. The present invention provides for a solution which effectively reduces or neutralizes the intrinsic forces which can be imparted to an extendable vehicle rack arrangement during or after attachment to a vehicle, thereby providing an easier extension of the displaceable part (11).
