A windshield wiper arm assembly for wiping a windshield of a motor vehicle can include a wiper linkage head having a bore formed therein for being connected to a rotatable wiper drive shaft. A wiper arm can be coupled to the wiper linkage head through a pivot pin allowing pivoting movement of the wiper arm with respect to the wiper linkage head between a stable windshield engaged position and a stable windshield disengage position. A beam compression spring can bias the wiper arm with respect to the wiper linkage head between the stable windshield engaged position and the stable windshield disengage position. A process for fabricating a beam compression spring for a windshield wiper arm can include the steps of cross- weaving an elongate tri-axial glass fiber sock, bathing the elongate glass woven sock in a thermoset resin, and curing the bathed cross-woven sock in a heated pultrusion die to form a pultruded elongate strip. Opposite side edges of the pultruded elongate strip can be overmolded with thermoplastic extruded cylindrical bearing ends. The elongate strip can be cut transversely to form a pultruded beam compression spring o a desired width having overmolded cylindrical bearing ends and cross-woven glass fibers oriented axially between the bearing ends at an angle of between approximately 0 ° and approximately 30 °, inclusive.

A connecting hook (3, 5) and a wiper (100, 200) are disclosed. The wiper (100, 200) comprises an arm head (1) mounted with a column pin (10), a retaining arm (2) connected to the arm head (1) while being rotatable relative to the arm head (1), and a connecting hook (3, 5). The connecting hook (3, 5) has a first hooking portion (31, 51) and a second hooking portion (32, 52) which are formed integrally. The first hooking portion (31, 51) is mounted to the pin (10), and the second hooking portion (32, 52) is mounted to a resilient element (20) which is pre-load. The first hooking portion (31, 51) has a first contacting surface (310, 510) contacting the pin (10) in line contact. Thereby, contacting stress between the connecting hook (3, 5) and the pin (10) is decreased, wear of the connecting hook (3, 5) and the pin (10) is reduced and life span of the wiper (100, 200) is improved.

A spring including helical portion (1) with an open U-shaped hook (6, 8, 10 and 7, 11, 2) at each end. The helical portion (1) is formed in the region of the pivot (9) of the wiper support arm (3) at the base portion (4) retaining said support arm (3). One hook (7, 11, 2) extends over and is hooked under the support arm (3) while the other hook (6, 8, 10) extends under and is hooked over the base portion (4). The spring substantially increases the pressure exerted on the windscreen by the rubber wiper blade and remains correctly hooked even when the support arm (3) is pivoted away from the windscreen.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wischenreinrichtung (1) zum Wischen einer Windschutzscheibe (5) eines Kraftfahrzeugs mit einem Wischerarm (10) und zwei Lenkerhebeln (8), wobei die Lenkerhebel (8) in einer Ebene schwenkbeweglich an Befestigungspunkten (9) mit dem Wischerarm (10) verbunden sind, wobei mindestens einer der Lenkerhebel (8) im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Wischerebene federalastisch ausgeführt ist, um eine Anpresskraft des Wischerarms (10) auf die Windschutzscheibe zu bewirken.
